Batclaw sighed softly and shook his head. It's alright, Thanks,I was jus-But he was cut off by the strange whirring noise. The river began to form wild waves and crash upon the land, and a large shadow passed over the forest. In confusion, Batclaw looked up. The sky was clouded blackly, letting no beam of light shine through. In wonder and fear, the tom's yellow gaze followed the skyline to it's darkest point....and widened in fear.
There, at the edge of the lands, but growing rapidly closer, a huge, thin, funnel shaped mass of wind and debree was whipping through the lands, uprooting everything that stood before it.Great! Just what we need right now! Was the last thought Batclaw managed to comprehend. His mind reared in terror and the tom instinctively bounded forward in a fruitless attempt to escape.Perhaps there might have been a slim chance....but then, the brown and black tom realized something. Trixiepelt wasn't there. Whipping around, Batclaw surveyed the scene behind him in horror.
The tornado had all but overtaken them, and was swirling rapidly and violently toward them.Batclaw squinted to see through the wind and speckling rain. Tree bark, rocks, and actual trees as well as both dead and squealing prey were only some of the wreckage that whipped past him. Batclaw actually had to dodge some of it to manage to stay on his paws. Trixiepelt was nowhere in sight.
Trixiepelt! Batclaw yowled desperately, vainly hoping to hear a return cry. Trixiepelt! With that, he bounded forward, without even giving a thought to what he was doing. And in a matter of a few horrifying seconds, Batclaw too was whipped violently off of his paws.Around and around he went, dizzying and feeling completely worn. He was even unaware of where they were going. He felt something snap inside him, and pain flooded through his left fore-paw. The whipping wind had broken something! Batclaw yowled in blind fear. What of the Clans? Their territory? They had no warning!Trixiepelt! Where was Trixiepelt? In all of the confusion, Batclaw's head reeled. And then, a large stone came whirring through the storm, flying his way. Batclaw possessed no power to move in the violent tornado. The rock made a WHAMMING contact, and everything went black.
A limp tortoiseshell tom was also among the debree. Around and around he whipped lifelessly. Pepperfur had seen the storm, and Trixiepelt's flaming pelt, and came running. But the warrior had been wiped out almost instantly. Both toms were now unaware of their surroundings.
