Mintcloud smiled.It was a beautiful day.She walked over and got a mouse to eat. Licking her chops, the white cat dug in!Breakfast.The most important meal of the day she had always said.Devouring the mouse meat she looked around.'Hmm the prey pile looks empty.Mabie I should go hunting after this.'she said out loud.

A silver striped tom sat silently in the further shadows of camp.His dark green eyes, so like his mother's, gleamed as the sun hit them and reflected off of them.Except for his eyes, Bandedtail resembled more of his father than his mother.Frecklenose, his sister, well...I suppose you could say she took Goldenstar's looks.But the two looked different.Frecklenose had striped golden fur with white in her,offsetting her mother's pure solid amber-gold pelt.
Stretching, Bandedtail sniffed the air.The sweet morning scent of dew and freshness filled his nostrils, making the tom purr.Birdsong sounded in the distance, but Bandedtail paid no mind.It was too early to hunt.
Confidently, the tom strode over to the fresh-kill pile, head held high.Snatching up a small thrush for himself, he glanced around, spotted a white she-cat,and padded over to her.Eyes flashing confidently, Bandedtail laid down beside her and began chewing his prey absentmindedly.
Hey, Mintcloud.
He meowed, voice smooth.
Looks like we're wearin' down the fresh kill pile, eh?What do you say to a dawn patrol?Maybe we could squeeze a bit of hunting in before the others get up. |

Mintcloud had almost finished her mouse.She looked up at the mew from another cat and her green eyes locked on Bandedtail.'Hi.' she meowed cooly.'sure, um, that'd be good.So what have you been up to?'

Satisfied, Bandedtail nodded silently and dipped his broad silver head, taking another bite of his thrush and chewing it in silent thoughtfulness.The warm tastes of the forest flooded through his mouth, the familiarity of prey taste.Bandedtail swiped his distintive pink tongue once over his lips and glanced over at Mintcloud with dark emerald eyes.
Nothing really.You know, just hunting, patroling, the usual.I'd think up something utterly charming to say, but you wouldn't want that so early in the morning, eh?
He joked, eyes glittering mischeviously as he spoke.His voice was smooth and as confident as ever, as if he had been rehersing each word all his life and knew his diologue by heart.This was the impression Bandedtail gave many a cat.
So, what about you?Anything new with your life? |

Toms!such showoffs these days.Mintcloud smirkd at Bandedtail's words and rolled her eyes.'Nothing much.Chilling out.'she said with a nod,finishing up the mouse.

Bandedtail sat up, reliquishing his crouching position so that he straightened, his tall frame shining against the rising sunlight.In one movement, he flicked his unusal raccoon-like tail around his paws.Amusement and mischief danced in his emerald colored eyes as he surveyed Mintcloud, who was below him now.
So, shall we?
Bandedtail tilted his head only a fraction towards the camp exit, the gesture only barely noticible.He had noticed that Mintcloud had finished eating, and didn't wish to linger any longer.Another cat's paws might have kneaded the ground anxiously, but Bandedtail stood up,and stayed completely still, only moving to glance down at Mintcloud again.

Mintcloud's eyes sparked.but she otherwize ignored Bandedtail's behavor and noded, getting to her feet with out a word.'Yea lets go.' she mewed.

Bandedtail nodded and flexed his claws,stretching his front legs before him.When he was done, the tom shifted his weight to stretch his back legs, eyes closed contentedly.After a moment, Bandedtail gave his black and silver pelt a brief shake before nodding to Mintcloud and trotting toward the bracken exit. He only stopped once, glancing back towards the warrior to see whether she was following or not.
Coming?

Jeez dont be so impatientMintcloud thought secretly.But she nodded to Bandedtial and stood up.The dust fell off her white fur when she shook it so the cat looked clean again.'Ok' she said and ran forward, past Bandedtail and into the wild.

OOC//Otay IC// Bandedtail nodded, his eyes narrowing as they followed Mintcloud out of camp.Purring in amusement, the tom took a swift backward glance over his shoulder, his gaze sweeping the camp, before turning and hurrying to follow Mintcloud out of the camp.He bounded swiftly but silently, and soon ran alongside the white-pelted she-cat.
