For the first time in three months, it looks like the survivors of Flight 815 have something to celebrate. Desmond has returned from the Looking Glass, with Charlie miraculously alive. As the castaways re-unite, it sinks in: they're going to be rescued. They're finally going to get off of this island.
Almost two weeks later, there has been no sign of the rescue boat. What has happened? As the newfound hope slips away, tensions stir, and the Others are plotting to rescue Ben, who is still a captive of the Castaways, and take revenge on the survivors. A feud seems inevitable.
And then, the strangest thing happens. Some way, some how, another plane crashes on the island. Smaller than flight 815, with only about twenty survivors. At first, they seem to fit right in with the survivors of flight 815, contributing their own skills to the camp even while in shock. But there is something very strange about these survivors. Something isn't right, and it's one of those things that everyone is thinking but no one speaks aloud, because they think it's just their imagination. But ever since the new castaways' arrival, strange things have been happening in the camp. People have been getting hurt or going missing, and now the new castaways are starting to seem even more suspicious when added to their strange connection with Ben.
The castaways of 815 seem to be danger, from two opposing forces. Is it just a coincidence that a plane crashed after rescue had been called? Or are the new castaways somehow connected to Naomi's boat? Loyalties are beginning to be questioned, and tension rises. Deside who you are allied to, and remember: keep your friends close, but your enemies closer.
