One moment, the RiverClan apprentice who had attacked him earlier was yowling a warning directed toward her clan-mate. The next, Fleetfoot was leaping away from him in something almost like fear. Was he retreating? Foxtail's puzzlement lasted only a few seconds as he realized with a cold feeling of dread, that they had tumbled onto the ice. By this time, Fleetfoot had nearly made it to the shore already, with help from Jitterpaw. Foxtail, on the other hand, felt his muscles freeze in fear. His mind screamed at him to do something, but his instincts were fixed on the water. Cold. Wet. Danger. At this last thought, he seemed to snap out of his momentary paralysis, and bounded toward the shore. But then, with a sharp CRACK, the ice gave, and Foxtail was plunged into its inky black depths.
He couldn't see. The water was too dark as it swirled around him, and he couldn't see or smell, and could only hear the water pounding in his ears; feel its terrible icy cold pressing in on all sides. Instinctively, Foxtail tried to paddle, but his limbs, already weakened by the battle, were not a sufficiant match for the water's churning current. He was swept along as helplessly as a new-born kit, flailing and swallowing what seemed like gallons of water at a time. Foxtail felt himself choking as his lungs screamed for air. With one last effort, he propelled himself upward...only to meet a hard surface that blocked the light and air that he so desperately needed. Of course, the ice! Foxtail was beginning to panic now, and he could feel his conciousness slowly slipping. Was he going to die down here? Would Darkshadow and Thicketclaw soon appear to take him to StarClan?
OOC//Eh heh. Anyone wanna randomly come out of nowhere and save teh Foxy? He's not gonna die. Not right this exact second, anyway

OOC: Um...well, I doubt Fleetfoots his biggest fan at the moment. And I have no ThunderClan cats at this moment. I could use Rosaline! She could be like obliviously hunting or something...but I doubt she'd leave her kits, unless they are playing nearby or something. IDK. I guess I could just be unrealistic or something =P Everyone else seems locked in battle anyway. Its going to be super random though..
IC:
A pretty tortoiseshell scents the air, her jaws parting slightly. Worry twinges at her heart. She's never been this far before, and she doesn't know how to get back. She can't leave her kits for too long. She's told them to stay in the barn, but she doubts they will, especially Marina. Worry clouds Rosaline's blue eyes as she looks around nervously. So much for hunting. Suddenly, she picks up the sound of distant yowling, and her ears prick. Cats! Maybe they can help her. Rosie changes direction and heads toward them. Her hope increases with each step she takes. Hopefully these cats will be friendly...
Well, her hopes are dashed soon afterward. As Rosaline reaches the clearing, she pauses, mortified by what she sees. The trees clear away here, to a spot by the river where sloping rocks score the ground. But the landscape is filled with fighting, furious cats. The gentle loner's ears flatten, and she backs away from them, terrified. Are these...Clan cats? They seem so much more horrible than anything she has ever heard about them. Rosaline intends to turn and run right then and there. All thoughts of being lost are forgotten. But then something catches her eye. Down the bank, a cat is standing on the ice. She watches in horror as it gives way and he slips into the frigid waters. A gasp escapes her. Surely the cat would die...and however terrified she was of these Clan-cats, Rosie could never watch anyone die without trying to help, at least.
She turns away, but this time with a different purpose. Rosaline races down the bank, her blue eyes following the cat that is only a shadow under the ice. Downriver, the ice is thawing slightly to give way to some rapids, and she knows that this is her only chance. Rosaline leaps onto a rock in the river and stretches her neck. She grabs Foxtail by the scruff as he is swept past, and is nearly dragged down along with him. With all her strength, she slips into the shallower bank of the water and tries to pull him with her. Paddling strongly, she drags him up the slope and lies down beside him, exhausted, in the grass. She looks anxiously at the Clan cat. Was he alive?

OOC// Aww darnskies! I was hoping Foxy and Rosey would end up meeting in the battle, and Badger would see them turn away from each other and be all WTF?!?! Ooooooo this is the perfect time and place to make Hazelstripe's powers become visible to ze other cats! Oh, by the way, have you heard about the new broadway musical The Little Mermaid?
Go home, Foxtail. Rosebloom willed him silently. Please just go home. This isn't a battle you can win! But the black warrior knows he won't. Foxtail is too stubborn, and would rather die than loose a battle to her clan. The tom fixes her with a hostile glare, but she could see the fear that lurked beneath it. He was just as afraid to fight her as she was of fighting him. She hoped with all her heart that it wouldn't come to that. Rosebloom knew she wouldn't be able to fight him.
With a prickly feeling crawling up her spine, she realizes that her sister was staring in puzzlement at her, but the expression passed quickly. As Badgerstar delivered her speech and Brighteyes bellowed his battle cry to the heavens, Rosebloom felt a menacing growl growing in her throat. As long as she could keep away from Foxtail, she was ready and willing to fight this battle. Unsheathing her claws, she leapt into the midst of the raging battle, hisses and yowls engulfing her as snow stirred up around the clearing.
Gentleheart tensed herself, waiting to spring out of the way as Brighteyes neared. But she hissed in surprise when he course changed so suddenly she didn't have enough time to gather herself before his huge black paw took a claw-spiked swipe at her. Yowling angrily as his claws grazed her side, she sized him up. After taking to the side as quickly as he did, she knew with his great size that he must be way off balance. Aiming an attack, she leaped the short distance toward his flank and snapped her jaws at his shoulder, hoping to bowl him to the ground and to feel his flesh between her teeth.
Hazelstripe watched Fleetfoot lunge for Foxtail when she twisted around to find the RiverClan leader leaping at her. Dropping to the ground, she knew exposing her belly would be dangerous, but she had to try. Slithering to her back and bracing herself for the pain to come, Badgerstar's weight crashed down on her. Using the momentum provided by the she-cat, she thrust her hind legs up at her opponet's belly in an attempt to flip them both over.
A loud yowl rang above the rest as three more cats emerged from the trees. The lithe form of a small tortoiseshell cat flashed infront of Rosebloom before she felt a sharp pain from behind as the she-cat clamped her fang down on one of her hind legs. Twisting her head around, she recognized Dawnfur, one of ThunderClan's oldest warriors. She was surprised the old she-cat wasn't in the Elder's Den yet. Rosebloom snapped at Dawnfur's lashing tail and shook her leg furosiously, trying to shake the old queen off.
Dawnfur's green eyes blazed as she clamped down harder on the RiverClan deputy's leg. When Rosebloom gripped her tail between her own teeth, she felt a sharp spasm of pain shoot up her spine. Growling, she released the black she-cat's leg and leapt onto her back, digging her claws into her hide as Rosebloom shook. When the she-cat threw herself up onto her hind paws, the tortoiseshell grabbed Rosebloom's scruff. But Rosebloom tumbled backwards onto the ground.
While Dawnfur was temperarly distracted, Rosebloom scrambled to her paws and turned on her. Just then, Rabbitpaw came out of no where and slammed into the warrior's side. The pair rolled down a small slope before Rosebloom leapt away from the apprentice. Pausing for a moment to catch her breath, she surveyed her clanmates. Badgerstar and Hazelstripe, Brighteyes and Gentleheart... where was Fleetfoot and Foxtail? Before she could spot them, another ThunderClan warrior jumped in front of her. Destinystep! The tom swiped at her, claws extended. She crouched close to the ground and hissed, ready to spring, when she saw a flash of orange out of the corner of her eye.
What in StarClan's name...? Was the forest on fire again? No, it couldn't possibly catch in this cold, damp weather. Then she made out the shape of Jitterpaw bounding toward the river where Fleetfoot and Foxtail... Rosebloom gasped, startling the black spotted warrior before her. "No!" she yowled, bounding toward the river just as Fleetfoot was pulled to shore and the ice beneath Foxtail caved in. It didn't take long for her to reach them. Her pink eyes scanned the ice for any sign of Foxtail's mottled pelt.
Please, oh please, oh please, oh please... she prayed. "Are you alright?" she asked Fleetfoot, forcing herself to turn toward the tom and appear as though all her worry was for her denmate's sake and not the sake of an enemy warrior. Inside she prayed over and over, Please, oh please, oh please StarClan, please help him! Not far off, she saw a tortoiseshell she-cat bounding toward the river. Dawnfur? No, this cat was nearly twice the size of the ThunderClan warrior. It must be a loner. She turned to watch the she-cat as she landed squarly on a rock and snatched something up from the river. That's when she saw Foxtail's head bobbing in the current. This loner had just saved her mate! Thank you, StarClan! Thank you, thank you! she praised as the tom was dragged from the river and onto the opposite shore a little ways away. She didn't trust her voice anymore, so she attempted to focus her concern on Fleetfoot instead.

OOC//Hmm, yes, we need her to find out somehow. Maybe after the battle, Rosey tries to get Foxtail help as TC doesnt have a medicine cat? And oh yeah! What are her powers, exactly? And chaa, I sooo wanna see that!
Foxtail was only barely concious of another cat grabbing him by the scruff and hauling him firmly out of the icy water. The air felt terribly cold as the wind whipped by, combined with his soaked fur, and he had to wonder if his heart was still beating. But who had rescued him? All of his clan-mates were still locked in battle, as far as he knew...nothing seemed to make sense. Everything was just a bright blur. But it figured, seeing as he could only manage to open his eyes to slits. A brown ear flicked; he was vaguely aware of a yowling in the distance, and a warm pelt pressed against his. What was going on...was he slipping away to StarClan?
He lay there for a moment lifelessly. Only the faint rise and fall of his flanks indicated that the tom was even alive. And then the shock set in. Foxtail let out a rasping hiss that half-choked him, scrambling upward in a wild attempt to stand up. He panted hard now, ears flattened, coughing up water and...no, water wasn't dark red...that was...But before he could even finish the thought, his legs gave way underneath him. ThunderClan didn't even have a medicine cat. What was he to do?
Jitterpaw glanced from Fleetfoot to Rosebloom, still partially shocked by what had just happened. A ThunderClan warrior had just been thrown into the river, and Fleetfoot had almost followed him. She thanked StarClan silently that her Clan-mate was safe, but couldn't help feeling uncomfortable. When she'd attacked the ThunderClan warrior, she'd never meant for this to happen. A cat shouldn't die over a border fight, she knew. Jitterpaw glanced up at her deputy to see the black she-cat shaken, but she supposed it was for the same reason she was. Slight guilt reflected in the apprentice's brown eyes; she felt somehow partly responsible for what had happened. But there was no time to dwell on that now. There was a battle raging around them. Giving Fleetfoot's shoulder a quick, re-assuring lick, she turned and dissappeared into the fray again. This time, the ginger apprentice threw herself at Rabbitpaw in an attempt to knock the ThunderClan tom over.
Brighteyes ripped his claws away from Gentleheart after landing the warning blow he'd previously attempted, but the she-cat was soon on her feet again, and leaping at him in a blur. He felt her teeth sink into his shoulder and stumbled. For a moment the warrior tensed, feeling himself go off-balance, but then his fighting instinct was recovered. As he fell backward, Brighteyes twisted slighted in an attempt to bring Gentleheart down with him, kicking out with his hindlegs in an aimed attack.
As Hazelstripe slipped onto her back, Badgerstar's eyes narrowed. She knew this trick, but there was no avoiding it now. As she landed, she attempted to sink her claws into the warrior's fur. If she could get a good grip, then hopefully she could gain some advantage as they flipped over.
Smokepaw charged into the clearing with an enraged yowl, darting quickly into the battle and searching for a cat to fight. He could see two RiverClan cats by the bank, but they were warriors, and even he realized that this would be a battle he couldn't win. Then there was Gentleheart battling Brighteyes, and Hazelstripe facing off against the RiverClan leader. Suddenly, he spotted a golden-colored apprentice, Honeypaw, and darted toward the she-cat. He aimed a bite at her scruff, hoping that if it landed, he'd be able to drag her to the ground.

OOC//Yeah, maybe the TC cats like, retreat and don't realize that Foxy's not with them, and then Rosey sneeks away to help Foxy. And well... I'm not quite sure, but I was thinking that she'd accidently hurl someone against a rock or something without actually touching them. Then get all freaked out and run away. Her powers are... not really classified. And I know me too!
The battle raged on as Rosebloom skimmed her eyes over Fleetfoot and Jitterpaw. The apprentice seemed just as shaken as she, and had obviously noticed the deputy's flighty behavior. Before she could speak, Jitterpaw regained herself, licked the tom's shoulder before leaping into battle again. She would be okay. Looking back to Fleetfoot, she asked, "Are you alright to fight?" she asked.
Without waiting for an answer, she went on. "If not, go see Frostfang now. But take the stepping stones or the two-leg bridge. We don't want Jitterpaw's efforts to be wasted." With that, she bounded back toward the scrabbling cats, when she was far enough away from the warrior, she edged around the fighting, crouching so close to the ground her belly brushed the frozen forest floor. Once she was sure she was safe, she glanced back at the river, searching for Foxtail, he was still with the newcomer, but now he was struggling to stand up. He was alive!
He coughed, heaving up the water that had slithered down his throat. But she saw a flash of red. That was water... A moment later, he collapsed. Her eyes widened in surprise and fear. At that moment she wanted nothing more than to rush to his side. But she knew she couldn't. She'd come back. She'd fight for her clan, then she'd return for Foxtail. She had to.
Trying to push aside her worry, she glanced around at her clanmates. Jitterpaw had thrown herself at Rabbitpaw. She was sure the apprentice could handle the skinny tom. That's when she noticed just how skinny he was. In fact, all the ThunderClan warriors looked a little thinner than usual. What was going on in ThunderClan that they didn't know about anyway? Surely Foxtail would have told her. But then again, he wouldn't have gotten the chance. Last time she'd spoke to him, it had been just after she'd been made RiverClan's new deputy.
She remembered confiding all her worries and guilt in him. How he'd comforted her, and told her what a great deputy she'd be even despite their forbidden love. He knew she was loyal to her clan, and reminded her that she knew it, too. She longed to speak to him, and hoped she'd get the chance to tell him what was on her mind. Something no one else knew yet, not even Badgerstar.
Shaking her head, she looked around at the rest of the fighting cats. She'd wonder about all that later. Another apprentice had joined in the battle, racing at Honeypaw. Gentleheart and Brighteyes were still locked in battle, but where were Dawnfur and Destinystep? As if to answer, a yowl rang from behind as Destinystep leapt down onto her back. Spitting fury, she twisted this way in an attempt to throw the tom. A moment later she saw his body fly from her back and land several rabbit lengths away. What in the world?
How was it that she'd been able to do that so easily? Without pausing to wonder, she launched herself at him. His eyes looked up as she pinned him to the ground. Her claws dug deep into his pelt as she met his blue gaze. They were narrowed angrily, but they held a sadness that chilled her heart. Her grip loosened with her shock and he pushed her aside roughly. In a moment he was gone, racing into the trees.
Gentleheart's attack had worked! But as her opponent hit the ground, he tried to drag her down with him. That's when she felt a powerful thrust from the tom's hind legs knock the wind from her. Her jaws lost their grip as she gasped for air. Then she saw a black and white blur rush by. It was Destinystep. Glancing around, she saw a bewildered Rosebloom staring after him and knew something was wrong. Leaving Brighteyes were he was, she pelted after her denmate.
Hazelstripe flipped them both as Badgerstar came down on them, but unfortunately they were on a slope and slid down through the snow and crashed into a small birch tree! Shaking her head, she jumped to her paws and whirled around to face the leader again. But a moment later, the tabby was joined by a familiar black cat. It was RiverClan's deputy, Rosebloom. The she-cat dove for Hazelstripe's paws and knocked her clean off her feet.
Hazelstripe hissed and snapped her jaws around Rosebloom's scruff and tugged her to the ground as well. The tabby glared furiously down into Rosebloom's unusual pink eyes. The black she-cat cupped her ear with a hard blow and forced her to loosen her grip. Thoroughly frustrated now, Hazelstripe felt a loud rumble grow deep in her throat. Rosebloom slipped away and went to stand beside Badgerstar again, double teaming her.
Honeypaw saw a grayish shape leap toward her and ducked to the ground. Seconds later Smokepaw flew over her. Snarling with rage, she whipped around and took a swipe at the apprentice, hoping the blow would graze squarly across his muzzle. ThunderClan's numbers were deteriorating. Perfect. Honeypaw growled at the dark tom. "Do you really think you can win now?" she hissed. "Go back to the nursery, your mama's waiting!"
Rabbitpaw yowled in surprise when he the air was knocked from his chest and he felt himself crash to the ground. He looked up to find a fiery red apprentice standing over him. With a toothy smirk, he glared up at the she-cat, sizing her up. "Little small for a battle, ain't ya? Don't tell me RiverClan's desperate enough to send kits to do their fighting for them!"
OOC// If you're okay with the whole randomly being hurled across the clearing thing, can I have permission to powerplay with Badgerstar so that she can be the one to fly back, cause it'd make a bigger impact if it were the leader. She doesn't have to get hurt or nothing, just you know, surprised.

Fleetfoot nods at the deputy, a little abashed that he had almost fallen into the river. "I'm fine." He mews evenly. He bends down to give his ruffled chest fur a couple of licks as Rosebloom springs away, then checks himself over quickly. His worst wound seems to be the one on his shoulder, but he can manage a few more scraps. The warrior looks around, his determination showing plainly in his expression. He sees Destinystep dart out of the clearing, and Gentleheart soon follow. RiverClan is winning! Fleetfoot gives a growl of satisfaction and leaps back into the battle.
Rosaline watches anxiously as the cat beside her breathes unevenly. Suddenly he jolts up, his body trembling in shock, and coughs up what looks like blood. Rosaline hisses in alarm and scrambles to her paws. She looks urgently at the tom, but also helplessly. She's no medicine cat, her sister had always been the one good with herbs! But if something isn't done soon, even she knows that this cat will die. Rosie looks around with wide blue eyes, but she doesn't dare ask any of the raging cats for help. She stares back at Foxtail and follows her instinct, bending to lick his sides and chest briskly. It won't help in the long run, but it might warm him up and regulate his breathing, at least until more professional help could arrive. Rosaline wonders if any of these forest cats have healing abilities.

OOC//Yesh, go ahead. She can be like "ZOMG IM FLYING" and then crash into a tree. Nu, xD, but you get my point, you can powerplay her.
IC// Brighteyes scrambled to his paws quickly and glared down at his opponent with eyes that were dangerously narrowed, his tail lashing as he planned his next attack--but never got a chance to carry it out. Gentleheart seemed to have seen something over his shoulder that had bothered her, and before he could respond, she had dashed away into the trees. He whipped around to watch her go, puzzled. She hadn't seemed hurt that badly. ThunderClan, He thought with contempt. The most mouse-brained cats in the forest, honestly. He gave his black pelt a shake and turned around, ready to spring back into battle...when he noticed Hazelstripe, facing the RiverClan leader and deputy. Badgerstar and Rosebloom were some of the best fighters in RiverClan, he knew. Brighteyes' loyalty had to be to his own Clan first, but what if his friend was too badly hurt? He paused, watching anxiously, and unsure of what to do.
Badgerstar gave a hiss of surprise as she collided painfully with the birch tree, jumping up and spitting out the snow she'd accidently swallowed, her pelt bristling in sharp annoyance. She spun around to face her opponent, only to see a lithe black shape dart at the ThunderClan warrior and knock her off her paws. The two scuffled for a moment before Rosebloom slipped away and padded back over to her. The RiverClan leader flicked an ear gratefully at her sister, before bearing her teeth menacingly at Hazelstripe. Badgerstar then sprung at her, jaws snapping in an attempt to tear at the warrior's ear.
Smokepaw whipped around as he landed on the she-cat's other side, only to get boxed on his nose by a claw-tipped paw. The wound stung sharply, and Smokepaw flattened his ears in rage both at this and at the other apprentice's taunting words. His eyes glared into hers furiously, his tail lashing quickly. "This battle isn't over yet," He spat back viciously. "As much as you RiverClan cowards would like that." And with those words, he sprung at the the golden she-cat again, attempting to land on her back.
Jitterpaw stood over the apprentice she'd just knocked over, panting slightly as she'd just bounded across the clearing to attack him. Her brown eyes narrowed slightly at his words, though they still sparkled with the light of battle. Her whiskers twitched slightly; even in the middle of a fight Jitterpaw couldn't help but make the experience fun in some way. "The bigger they are, the harder they fall!" She pointed out with a slight grin, flicking her tail to motion at the tom's position on the ground. Her fiery fur fluffed out excitedly, she waited for the ThunderClanner to attempt to attack her.

OOC// Lmao!
Hazelstripe glanced back and forth between the two RiverClan she-cats and then back up the slope at the cats that still remained. Among them, she spotted a familiar face. Brighteyes had finished chasing away one of her clanmates, and was now staring down at the trio with a look of uncertainty. She knew she shouldn't expect her friend to help her. After all, they were from seperate clan, and this was a battle. But the look he was flashing her almost made her want to shout for his help.
She withheld her will and turned back to Rosebloom and Badgerstar just as the leader bounded toward her and launched into the air. With a sharp yowl of frustration, she rose to her paws in an attempt to meet the great warrior's claws with her own, but they never came. A second later, Badgerstar was flying through the air in the opposite direction! The tabby leader landed with a heavy thud against a flat-sided rock and lay still in the snow. Hazelstripe's eyes went wide with shock and her hind legs collapsed below her as she flipped onto her back and scrabbled to her paws. With one last horrified look at the RiverClan leader, she pelted into the undergrowth after her friends.
The golden apprentice Honeypaw spat at Smokepaw as he sprang for her back. She darted out of the way just in time. "You're wasteing your time! Can't you see you've already lost?" she snarled, thrusting her muzzle in the direction of the receading cats. "Go home kitty-pet! ThunderClan is no match for RiverClan now!" With that said, she lunged with bared teeth at his shoulder, hoping to feel her fangs sink into his smokey gray fur.
Rabbitpaw grinned a sort of crooked, flirtatous grin and replied, "You wanna dance? Let's dance!" (I'm not suggesting a love plot for these two, that's just sorta how Rabbitpaw acts) His striped tail lashing out, he shimmied from beneath the flame-pelted she-cat and whirled to face her. He swiped his paw toward her head, hoping to box her ears. But before he could, he heard a familiar yowl from across the clearing.
Dawnfur hissed into the face of Sleetghost. The big RiverClan she-cat was twice the size of the old warrior, but that only meant she was twice as slow. Dawnfur launched into the air, landing on the tabby's back. Sleetghost snarled and rose onto her hind legs, toppling backwards. Scrabbling to her paws, she pinned Dawnfur, staring down with brown-gray eyes. With her hind claws she scratched the tortoiseshell's belly. Yowling in pain, Dawnfur wriggled away and swatted at Sleetghost's muzzle, leaving behind a trail of blood. Looking around, she saw that there was only four of her clanmates left.
She spotted Hazelstripe standing near Rosebloom, both with bewildered expressions as they stared across the clearing at a clump of gray bulging out from a rock. Wait, that was fur. She realized that what she was staring at was the form of Badgerstar, RiverClan's leader. A second later, Hazelstripe raced into the forest. Oh no! she moaned to herself. Leaping away from the silver tabby before her, she yowled to the apprentices. "Retreat!" Rabbitpaw jumped back from the orange RiverClan apprentice he was battling and followed Dawnfur as they both dashed into the forest.
Rosebloom stared at her sister's limp form in shock. What in StarClan's name had just happened? Out of the corner of her eye, she saw the ThunderClanner topple onto her back before leaping up and darting away. "Oh my..." Suddenly, she heard Dawnfur's yowl, pulling back the ThunderClan warriors. They'd won! Sunningrocks was theirs! But at what price? Foxtail was hurt, maybe even dying, and Badgerstar...
The black she-cat rushed to her sister's side instantly. "Badgerstar? Badgerstar, are you okay?" she asked, licking the leader's side and giving her a gentle nudge. [/quote]

Before Badgerstar knew what was happening, an invisible force like a great, powerful wind tore her away from her opponent. With a yowl of surprise, she felt herself being thrown high through the air, until she was helplessly thrown down at the other side of the clearing. The impact to the ground left her momentarily stunned, but as it began to fade away, she realized that she was relatively left unharmed. But shock kept her pinned to the ground. What had just happened? That...that wasn't possible! There was no logical explanation for it...unless...unless that ThunderClan she-cat had had something to do with it. Everything about what had just happened felt completely unnatural and wrong. What other kind of...horrors was ThunderClan harboring?
But before her thoughts could drift further, Dawnfur's desperate yowl rang out across the clearing as she called to the other ThunderClan cats to retreat. Badgerstar blinked in surprise. It seemed almost surreal...after so many seasons of attacks that had failed, they'd finally won back Sunningrocks! Despite what had happened, a sense of pride for her Clan-mates swelled within the RiverClan leader. Suddenly her sister was at her side, nosing her with gentle concern. It was then that Badgerstar realized that she was still slumped on the ground. Hurridly, she scrambled upward, shakily getting to her paws. Her fur was fluffed out from the abnormal encounter, and she looked rather wary as she spoke, but her blue eyes sparkled as she turned to meet Rosebloom's soft pink gaze. "I'm fine, I think..." She meowed softly in return. Her black-and-white ears flicked uncertainly as she spoke again. "I...what just...how...?" As she stumbled over words, she found that she couldn't seem to voice the question that was probably playing over in each of their shocked minds. "...It doesn't matter." Badgerstar finished at last, forcing her multi-colored pelt to lie flat. "We did it! We won." She gave Rosebloom a friendly flick with her tail, though her gaze averted to the ground in an attempt to hide her lingering doubt.
Brighteyes could only watch with wide, disbelieving orange eyes at what had just happened. And here, in front of so many cats...Every hair on his black pelt bristled as he glanced from Badgerstar to Hazelstripe and back again. Rosebloom was already rushing to her sister's side, and so the RiverClan warrior whipped around in search of his friend again. She looked mortified by what had just happened. Without thinking, he took a step toward her. But Hazelstripe had already turned tail, and was racing away back into ThunderClan territory. Brighteyes padded after her, quickening his pace and mewing a desperate "Hazelstripe!" But his friend was gone, and he couldn't possibly head further into ThunderClan territory after what had just happened. Remembering himself, the warrior turned and slowly padded back to his clanmates. Somehow he wasn't feeling very victorious, not after what had just happened.
Jitterpaw's whiskers twitched, accepting the other apprentice's challenge. She flexed her claws as Rabbitpaw aimed a swipe at her, ready to dart away from the tom. But before anything else could happen, Dawnfur had yowled for ThunderClan to retreat, and as quickly as it had began, the battle had ended. She stepped back as Rabbitpaw raced past her, watching silently as the ThunderClan cats dissappeared. Her ginger fur prickled with realization as a warmth spread to her paws. They'd won! Her first battle, and they'd really done it! The apprentice's autumn-brown eyes blazed with a new light. Suddenly the stinging wounds she'd gotten gave off a different kind of pain; one that mingled with a fierce pride so that it was almost refreshing. Slowly, the she-cat raised her head to the sky and let out a loud yowl of victory.
Smokepaw gave a sharp snarl as he reared backward and managed to roll away from Honeypaw's attack, though in the process he'd gotten in the way of her hind paws. A sharp stinging scored across his leg, but he ignored it. Fur bristling, he opened his mouth furiously to reply, but Dawnfur's call interrupted him. Blinking, Smokepaw gazed back across the clearing at the senior warrior in disbelief. They were really giving up?! This was ThunderClan territory! With a hiss of frustration and rage, Smokepaw turned his back to Honeypaw--and for a moment, he almost decided to race back to the ThunderClan camp. But the other apprentice's taunts had snapped something inside of him, and his pride wouldn't let him retreat now. Without any warning, Smokepaw whipped around again and charged at Honeypaw in a blind fury, clawing and snapping in any and every attempt to injure the she-cat who'd taunted him.

Relief filled Rosebloom as her leader stood. But when she spoke, she sounded shaken. The black she-cat couldn't blame her. Rosebloom was glad that nothing had happened to her, but she was also grateful that it hadn't been her. She knew that it must have been terrifying, and it might have done more damage to Rosebloom than Badgerstar, especially with her sister's nine lives. Badgerstar let out a yowl of triumph, but Rosebloom wasn't fooled. (I keep wanting to call her BadgerSTRIPE)
She pushed the thought away as she remember Foxtail's critical condition. Now that they had won the battle, and she knew that Badgerstar was OK, all her worries about Foxtail returned. She had to get to him somehow. Perhaps if she could stay behind while the others went back to came to patch up. Yeah, that was it. It would take too long if she had to go back and slip away. She'd suggest marking the borders! "Badgerstar, you need to see Frostfang. Fleetfoot too, because he nearly took a nasty spill into the river. I'll mark our new border around Sunningrocks and make sure no more ThunderClanner's are lurking around." she meowed sensibly, only stating the truth.
Branches and thorns snagged the she-cat's tabby pelt as she crashed through the trees. She heard Brighteyes's call, but she flattened her ears to her head and ignored it. Questions race through her mind, but the one that stood out was: Why had that happened? Now of all times?! Perhaps the scariest thing was that this had not been the first time. But now RiverClan knew. Now RiverClan knew that ThunderClan harbored something... something weird. Something strange, something bizarre. They had a freak among their ranks. A dangerous freak! Oh! Curse the day Hazelstripe had discovered these strange abilities!
Sleetghost joined in the calls of triumph erupting from her Clan mates. Honeypaw yowled as well, happy to laugh in the ThunderClan apprentice's face. "That's right! Go back to camp! Spread the word!" she called after him. "Sunningrocks belongs to RiverClan, and it always will!" The next second she let out a 'mreow!' of surprise as Smokepaw turned and bowled into her size, seizing her flesh with his outstretched claws. What did he think he was doing?! He'd lost! Snarling, she twisted away from his grip, but not before attempting to snatch up his foreleg in her powerful jaws.

OOC//I know, right? Me too. I can't get her leader name into my head ><
IC// Badgerstar met Rosebloom's gaze evenly for a moment. Part of her felt too proud to admit that she needed the medicine cat's help after what had just happened, but she knew that her sister was right. It was best to be on the safe side. Still, other cats were hurt too, even the ones that only had a few cuts and bites. Her eyes narrowed slightly; like any true leader, she'd only agree to see the medicine cat after the rest of her Clan-mates had been treated first. Rosebloom didn't seem to be hurt, though, so it wouldn't hurt for her to stay here and mark the borders. Reluctantly, she nodded. "Alright," The RiverClan leader agreed. With one short glance over her shoulder, she searched the undergrowth quickly for ThunderClan cats. They all seemed to have retreated, but it didn't hurt to be careful. She wouldn't have put it past them to lay an ambush somewhere. Turning back to the deputy, she added, "Be careful, okay?"
With a twitch of her whiskers, Badgerstar brushed her pelt against Rosebloom's briefly before padding down toward the river, and to Fleetfoot's side. She turned her gaze back to the rest of her Clan, and let out a loud mew. "Everyone...back to camp. Anyone hurt goes straight to Frostfang." With a flick of her black tail, she turned and padded quickly toward the steppingstones nearby, leaping from one to the other across the ice, and heading forward to the camp from there.
Jitterpaw fell silent and turned to her leader, nodding shortly. Now that the thrill of battle was wearing off, she was beginning to become aware of the sharp stinging of clawmarks across her flank from the fight earlier with Foxtail. She didn't mind, though. These were her battle-scars! And her first ones, at that. Eagerly, she flashed a glance around the clearing and then padded over to the river, leaping up on one of the Sunningrocks and preparing to head back to camp. But then, a sudden thought made her pause. Where was Honeypaw? Had she already gone back to camp? Or was she hurt somewhere? One of her ginger ears twitching in concern, she turned back to stare across the clearing...and gaped at what she saw.
Smokepaw gave a snarl as Honeypaw's teeth sunk into his foreleg, but instead of attempting to shake her off or whip loose, he instinctively used it to his advantage. Whipping his head around, he snapped furiously at the RiverClan apprentice's ear, hoping that ripping at it would make her lose her grip.
Slowly, Brighteyes began to pad back toward the camp, but a sudden snarling caught his attention. He looked up, ears pricked, to where Honeypaw and some ThunderClan apprentice were still locked in a fierce battle. His eyes widened slightly, and then narrowed. What did they think they were doing? ThunderClan cats might have no sense of honor, but Honeypaw should of known better! With a snort of exasperation mingled with disbelief, he bounded over to the pair and skidded to a stop. Leaping into the middle of the clawing and biting cats was not exactly appealing. Suddenly he leaped forward, attempting to grab Honeypaw by the scruff and drag her away from the fight.

Rosebloom held her breath and waited for her sister's reply. She watched for what seemed like a thousand moons but in reality was only a few agonizing seconds as Badgerstar glanced around at the others and narrowed her eyes, thinking. "Alright," she agreed finally. She slowly let out her breath, making it look as normal as possible. The leader looked wearily around them, peering through the trees. She knew her sister was worried about her, but Rosebloom was sure there was nothing to worry about. ThunderClan were honorable cats, whatever her clanmates thought. They wouldn't retreat only to set an ambush when only one cat was left. At least, she didn't think they would.
No, if they were anything like Foxtail, they wouldn't. After all, Foxtail was raised in ThunderClan. In fact, his parents had once been two of the most clever, cunning, and evil cats in the forest before finding each other. She was sure if Foxtail could be raised to turn out that way, ThunderClan couldn't be all bad. "Be careful, okay?" Badgerstar meowed, pressing to Rosebloom, their black and tabby fur meshing into one. The deputy nodded. "I'll be fine." she replied quietly. She waited as Badgerstar called to her warriors and they made their way across the river.
Sleetghost padded after her leader, but stopped short when she heard a nearby yowl. Twisting around, all ready for an ambush, she saw that it wasn't she who was under attack. It was Honeypaw! Brighteyes had already made his way to the pair of apprentices and pulled Honeypaw away. Didn't ThunderClan have any dignity? Pelting toward them, she snapped at the ThunderClan cat's tail, hoping to pull him away and pin him to the ground. "What do you two think you're doing?!" she snarled, eyeing them both.
Honeypaw spat viciously at the tom when suddenly she felt herself be lifted away from him. Someone had grabbed her by the scruff and pulled her out of the battle. Twisting violently, she tried to break free of the cat's hold. When she realized it was Brighteyes, she stopped to stare up at him in surprise. "What are you doing? Let me go!" she meowed angrily at her mentor.
As Rosebloom made her way quickly around the clearing, stopping every few seconds to mark another tree, she heard Sleetghost's angry yowl. Had ThunderClan really come back? Looking around, she saw Brighteyes clutching Honeypaw by the scruff and pulling her off of a ThunderClan apprentice. Sleetghost was also trying to seperate the two. What did they think they were doing? Didn't they realize the battle was over? Rosebloom was suddenly struck with the crisp memory of her and Foxtail, then still apprentice, met in their first battle.
Shaking her head, Rosebloom waited until she was sure that Brighteyes and Sleetghost had everything under control before silently slipping away. When she was out of earshot, she raced through the trees and crashed into the river. Swimming steadily, she found her way to the other side and pulled herself onto shore. Her black pelt still dripping with water, she searched frantically for Foxtail's mottled coat. She spotted him down the river, still with that tortoiseshell cat. Bounding toward them, she skidded to a halt beside the loner and leaned her head down toward the tom. "Foxtail?" she meowed softly, nudging his shoulder. "Foxtail, wake up. It's me, Rosebloom. Please get up!"
OOC// Sorry it sucked, I lost my muse.
