RULES WILL BE ENFORCED FROM THIS POINT ONWARD; NO EXCEPTIONS


1. Thou Shalt Not Be Graphic Or Offensive;
There will be no porn, profanity, racism or anything else that would gross out or offend your peers. This includes graphicness when mating or kitting. There will be no swearing unless its OOC, but don't excessive. The reason it cant be in IC is that cats don't know these words. Cat insults are "mousebrain, mousedung, foxdung, kittypet," ect. They do not know any of the swear words or insults that we as humans use.

2. Thou Shalt Not Inappropriately Advertise;
Do not advertise in the C-box or anywhere else besides the board created for it. Only ask someone to join your site on the correct board.

3. Thou Shalt Not Spam;
Do not spam. Spamming can be one of two things:
A) Replying to an OOC (out of character) thread with "lol" or "omg xDDD" or "-nods-." Rule of thumb - if you have nothing to say except one or two words, do not reply until you do. Do not post random, pointless things unless you're at the Random Whatever board.
B) Posting one or two sentence posts. The post-length minimum here at StarClan's Light Path is at least two paragraphs, which translates to at least ten sentences. Trust your admins - it is not that hard.

4. Thou Shalt Obey And Respect Thy Admins;
They know what is best for the site and its members. If they tell you that you are doing something wrong, you most likely are. Also, if you have a problem, do not hesitate to contact one of the admins as they are more than willing to help out in whatever way they can.

5. Thou Shalt Be Realistic;
Your character is not allowed any sort of magical, mystical or supernatural powers unless it is for a plot approved by the head admin.

6. Thou Shalt Not Power-Play;
Absolutely no power-playing. Power-playing is defined as roleplaying characters that are not your own without the permission of the character's creator. For example: when fighting, you can not say another character is bleeding or hurt. That is for them to decide. Also, you can not have your character touch another character, unless you have the other roleplayer's permission beforehand via PM. For example: "Whitefur attacked Wildeyes and pinned him down." This is not acceptable. Give the other roleplayer the chance to decide if their character will dodge or get hurt. This rule also applies to this situation:

Person 1: Whiptail nodded and sighed."Shall we go?" She asked Lionbreath, her eyes narrowing reluctantly.

Person 2: Lionbreath nodded without a word, and followed Whiptail out of the clearing.

Whiptail has yet to say she left. Therefore, Lionbreath is powrplaying Whiptail. There will also be no power-playing of the rest of the Clan, such as "The Clan yowled in agreement." This includes creating cats that arent really there, like "Fistface looked around at the various warriors around him who were sleeping." The only exception will be the filler characters created by the admins for everyone's use. Rules regarding these characters can be found in a separate thread.

7. Thou Shalt Not God-Mode;
Do not God-mode, which is making your character invincible. Your cat can not never get hurt, will likely not survive something like a fall from a cliff, and your cat can not come back to life or be reborn. Once your cat is dead, it is dead. If you choose, you may continue to roleplay your character in the StarClan board. Rules regarding StarClan characters can be found in another thread.

8. Thou Shalt Not Claim False Prophet;
No character is allowed to receive StarClan dreams or experience StarClan miracles unless your cat is a leader or a medicine cat, or it is part of an admin approved plot. It is very rare for any other cats to get them.

9. Thou Shalt Make Thy Name Reasonable;
Character names must be reasonable and realistic. Make sure a cat knows what a name means unless a two-leg gave it to them (as is the case with kitty-pets and the occasional rogue or loner). For example: Steelclaw, Truckpaw, Glitterkit, Angelpelt, etc. How would a cat know what steel, trucks or angels are? Cats don't know two-leg materiels or objects, and even refer to the road as Thunderpath and to cars as monsters. Cats also don't know what angels are because it is a human notion, and the Clans know their dead as members of StarClan. There is another thread in the Join A Clan board that goes more in depth and offers help in choosing the right name for your character.

10. Thou Shalt Be Realistic;
This shouldn't need explaining. Be realistic, especially in fights. No matter how powerful your character is, one cat can not win against three, unless the situation is something like three kits against a warrior.

11. Thou Shalt Know Thy Own Limits;
As we are trying to revive the site and make it active again, limit yourself with characters. Make no more than you can handle. If we think you have too many, we may ask you to downsize, or reject new biographies you create.

12. Thou Shalt Respect Thy Fellow Roleplayers;
There will be peace among all. If you have a problem with another member, please take it to private messages, and work it out amongst yourself. Do not fight on the boards. If the problem persists, bring it to an admin, and they will do their best to handle the situation fairly.
