Roleplaying Rules to Live By

1. Time is a strange thing in our world. You must wait at least two weeks after announcing that your cat is pregnant before she has kits.

2. Taking mates outside of the Clan is very rare. If you choose to do so, your character will be punished accordingly. It is the choice of the leader of your Clan, so if your cat is banished, there will be no complaining.

3. In the case of cross-clan relationships, kits will stay with the mother's clan unless she personally gives them up.

4. You may not kill another member's character freely. To do this, you must either a) have their permission, or b) have mine.

5. Upon warrior ceremonies, do not request your apprentice's warrior name. Take what your leader gives you, and don't whine. The password is Graystripe.

6. Once again, a cat cannot be reborn, nor can it come back to life. I understand that it happened to Cinderpaw, but it was a one-time thing in the books, and it will not be tolerated here. I'm sorry, but once your cat is dead, it is dead, so take that into consideration before killing it off. There will be a StarClan board, however, where your dead characters may continue to be roleplayed occasionally.

7. Cats can only live for so long. If you've had a character for a long while, they can not still be described as 'young.' Also take this into consideration when you decide your characters age. If you have a senior warrior who has been around for a long time, consider moving into the Elder's Den.

8. If you like, you may mate for life. This became more common as the series progressed, but it wasn't always as common as you may think. Toms are often allowed to mate with more than one she-cat, or mate only to give the Clan kits. The same goes for she-cats who prefer taking care of kits and providing the next generation of Clan cats to being a warrior. However, please do not have two of your own characters become mates. And the real code is Nightcloud. If you're that desperate, look for one in the mate board. Also, you may join as a queen who helps in the nursery, but you will not be permitted to join as a pregnant queen. However, she may become pregnant after she is created.

9. Only leaders, or admins, can make clouds cover the moon at Gatherings. Admins basically control the weather - of course, you may say that it is raining and such in your own threads... but major events like tornadoes, blizzards, fires, etc., would be in the hands of the admins.
