It was morning. Tigerpaw came out of the apprentice den wide awake. She was not a late sleeper. Some people thought that she might not sleep at all since she stays up so late and gets up early. she looked around the empty camp and went to the fresh kill pile. She took a robin and chewed it thoughtfully, bite after bite untill it was done. She picked it up and baried it carefully. Then Tigerpaw looked around. no other warriors were there, so maybe she would just slip out awhile. Apprentices werent allowed to go outside the camp by there self. but which one of these sleepy heads would notice. She was so bored that she turned around and headed silently for outside.

OOC//KK Minteh, I'll just have Morningsong be her mentor. IC// Leaf-bare had fallen upon the lands, creating harsh results of sickness and prey lossage that seemed to crash down upon the Clans at this time. Everything was en-coated in a gleaming blanket of tiny white crystals, and despite the hard times, one had to admit that the lands they lived in and loved were beautiful. Prey had been tough to find, and yet the calls of winter birds were what had woken Morningsong today. The still bundle of tortoiseshell fur shifted grumpily, her ears flicking forward. There was no use trying to fall back asleep now, for the warrior was wide awake.
With a soft sigh, a pair of deep green eyes flickered open. They surveyed the den, and the sleeping forms of the other warriors quietly, before the she-cat that they belonged to raised herself to her paws. Morningsong let out a soft yawn, revealing a small pink tongue behind dangerously sharp fangs. She stretched, revealing muscles under her sleek pelt as she flexed her white paws and revealed long claws. There was no mistaking the lithe body of a warrior.
With one last glance around the den, Morningsong padded outside. The warm sun felt good against her brown-and-white pelt, and she couldn't stop a soft purr from escaping her from deep within her throat. Sitting down just outside of the warriors den, Morningsong curled her tortoiseshell patterned tail around her white paws, and began to clean her ruffled pelt. The grooming took a few moments as she briskly rasped her tongue over her pelt. Once satisfied and refreshed, the young warrior stood up again, and gazed around the camp. She wasn't feeling very hungry, and besides, the fresh-kill pile was looking empty this morning. She'd hunt first.
With that decided, Morningsong sighed softly and padded toward the camp entrance. But before she had even reached the bramble tunnel, another familiar scent reached her nostrils. The unmistakable scent of her apprentice was drifting toward her from upwind. Her apprentice...the thought almost made her beam with pride. She had gotten her first apprentice recently, and still glowed with pride. Morningsong believed that only once you were a mentor were you a true and honorable warrior. She only wished that hers didn't have to be so sharp-tongued, as Tigerpaw notoriously was. Rolling her green eyes in exasperation, the ThunderClan warrior let out a soft growl before she headed up the trail, her pace quickening as she went. And sure enough, before long, the familiar pelt of the small tabby could be seen. At this, Morningsong quickened her pace to a run, bounding after the apprentice until she had slipped up beside her, and at last, whipped around to stand in front of her.
"Tigerpaw, it's a bit early to be heading out of camp just yet, don't you think?" Morningsong commented, her creamy green eyes gleaming in a knowing manner. She was fully aware that they both knew very well that the warrior code stated that no apprentice should go out of camp without a warrior or their mentor's permission. But...she'd wait for Tigerpaw to admit that part.

Tigerpaw skidded to a stop as Morningsong came to stand in front of her. she glared at her mentor, showing her long white teeth. A long growl of annoyance came from her. Why did Morninsong ruin everything? This was no fun. "Morningsong!" she was so surprised that that was all that she said to the cat in front of her.

Morningsong gazed calmly down at her young apprentice, her tortoiseshell tail dropping to curl lightly around her back legs. Her pink tongue swiped lightly around her lips, a form of fidgeting, so to speak, for the young warrior. Amusement and disapproval flickered in her eyes as she watched Tigerpaw splutter, shaking her head. The younger cat didn't really think that she could get away with sneaking out of camp without anyone noticing, did she? "As you live and breath,"(Hah! Catch phrase!!) Morningsong retorted calmly, smirking lightly now. "Put those fangs away Tigerpaw, you know better. And you still haven't answered my question. Where do you think you're going?" From the expression on the mottled she-cat's face, it was clear that she was thoroughly enjoying the moment.
