In the quiet ShadowClan clearing, the dens were silent and empty. Leaves rustled in the high branches of the trees as the breeze bent around them. The pines make a scratchy noise as the thorny branches brushed together. Small thumping sounds of rabbits scurrying and mice scuttling on the forest floor.
Down the ravine and into the camp padded a dusty looking tom cat with a mouth full of fresh kill. Landing the prey he had in the growing pile, which was getting larger and larger by day now that new-leaf was here, he picked out a thrush for himself. He looked at the rest of it with satisfaction. Warmer weather meant more prey. More prey meant healthier cats. And of course, healthier cats meant more members for ShadowClan. It was all starting to even out.
Dustfall hadn't had the best few seasons. He'd falsly fallen in love and had kits with Cheetahpelt. In the end, they decided to just be friends and Cheetahpelt had given up the kits to a surogate mother. Though she seemed to feel a bit awkward and cold around the young apprentices, Dustfall loved them even though it was a constant reminder of his past. He couldn't help it. And he knew they would one day be great warriors.
He settled beside the Darkstone to eat his thrush. Swallowing it in a few swift bites, he began to groom his ruffled pelt which was gathered in tuffs and clumps.

Spending nights wandering the lands and days hunting and patrolling to no end, Twilight had already been worn out her third week into Shadowclan and now, she had been with the clan for nearly two moons. Yet the young warrior hadn't let a single sign of her exhaustion show, for fear of more kitty-pet remarks that would force her into some unwanted arguement. Heaving a small chaffinch and a plump rabbit into the fresh-kill pile and stealing a small rabbit from the pile, she turned away from the pile. The rabbit was one of the first from it's den, seeing that it weighed almost nothing in her jaws as she padded away from the pile, but no matter she hadn't much of an appitite today anyway. Really, she usually ate a lot less then the rest of the members of the clans being that she felt guilty for taking so much prey when she first joined the clan.
Almost instantly, she spotted an older warrior eating alone by Darkstone. She knew him to be Dustfall, but thats all she knew of him. She heard of his past with a beautiful queen, Cheetahpelt. Heard of how the assumed dead brother of his stole her away, only to slaughter a lot of Shadowclan warriors. Mothpelt, the warrior that had once been assumed dead, was overtaken by Tigerstar at times and forced to kill off the ones he loved. She never heard the end of the story, but she didn't care to hear the end either. She just wanted to assume a happy ending, such as Mothpelt fought of Tigerstar and he resides in the loner lands somewhere. Heaving a soft sigh to herself, she decided she was curious to exactly who Dustfall was. Besides, the warrior walked a lonely path being that his 'love' ran off and the two gave up the kits. It must be hard for him, to watch his kits grow up without uttering a single word more then what he would to any other apprentices.
Dropping the rabbit at her ebony paws, she turned her warm amber gaze to Dustfall just a rabbit's length ahead of her. She knew she must look ridculous in the eyes of every cat in this clan, with bright white stars and a moon painted on her back. Luckily, her white shapes were on the brink of giving in. Being that the white showed black through. Nevermind her look, no warrior deserved to eat alone.
"Mind having some company?"
She questioned. She knew better then to just join one in a meal. Many times she'd be clawed everytime she joined others for a meal as an apprentice. Now she knew better then to just join in...to ask as if she were some captive held here only on the good will of others. Either way, her gaze still burned forward in search of a reply.

While consumed in quiet, Dustfall hardly noticed the she-cat who padded into the clearing. When he caught a flash of black and white movement out of the corner of his eye, he looked up from his grooming. He immeadiatly spotted Twilight, the newer member of ShadowClan. She had been a former kittypet, and she was hard to miss for her black coat was covered in large shapes resembling stars and part of the moon. Ever since she'd joined the clan he'd wondered about them. They were such unusual marking for a cat.
Shrugging his inquiries off, he returned to his coat which was now looking imaculatly better then when he'd first arrived back at camp. Just as well. When Twilight made her way toward him with a small rabbit clutched in her jaws, he turned his head toward her once more. "Mind having some company?" she asked quietly. He knew she must feel out of place since much of the clan disliked her for the single fact that she had used to live in a two-leg's nest eating those pellets kitty-pets called food. But Dustfall wasn't one to talk. His father was the former leader of WindClan, and when he had been a mere kit he'd befriended a young wolf-pup, Twilightshadow, who was now a warrior of ShadowClan. Clan ways would never change he supposed.
"Sure."

((Not sure I have that little thing called muse today. But I might as well post something. Im to effin bored not to post here!)) She hadn't a single clue to how much the two were alike and how diffrent they really were. With a first once-over glance of the two, one would never guess just how alike the two were. One thing that had remained in the back almost every clan cat's mind was that they were outsiders. No matter how many times they proved thier loyalty, they'd always be the invaders on the clan. And they both had or have an evil brother. Though Mothpelt wasn't really actually evil but he did murder for the hell of it.....much like Lunar. The only diffrence between the brothers was that Mothpelt had been forced to kill, Lunar did it because he can. The female shook the the thoughts away. She wanted no memories of her brother burning through her skull anymore. She wanted to drop all thought of her brother and family before that. Although she wasn't the type to hold a violent grudge, she hated her brother for what he had done. "Great. Thanks." She muttered before settling down a near fox-length away from the tom to eat her kill. With another short pause, she tore into the flesh of the prey. Taking small bites and chewing the food over carefully. She was done with the small rabbitm, leaving a little over half left. With a small swipe of her left paw, she pushed the kill away from her where a small group of apprentices would pick at it later. Her soft gaze turned back to the warrior beside her. "Already turning out to be a great day" She commentted, half asorbed in her own thoughts. The sun was up, though the hour was still early. Most elders and warriors wouldn't be fully awake until the sun had already stained the skies with light.
