That was the understatement of the year
Was the first thing that popped into the young leader's mind as he continued his nightly rounds around Windclan's terrain. In the last three moons Windclan, no every clan remained in ruins. Leaders, Deputies and Medicine Cats all being slaughtered in one way or another, leaving the clans to be lead by mere warriors that hadn’t a clue on how to continue daily life. Some have even attempted to rebuild clan structure with replacing deputies and even medicine cats, as seen in the last gathering. But even after this, the clan members waned each passing moon some clans, such as Windclan, held such few members that with one sweep of Leafbare, the entire clan could disappear. This could prove a huge disaster for every clan, even if it were just one clan to disappear. For you see, the forest is set on a needle’s point and relies on the five clans to keep the forest up and running, if just one clan were to disappear it could throw the balance off. And thus, Emorystar fought as leader of Windclan to keep his clan on the map and to have Windclan rise from it's ashes to a new dawn.
In just this last moon, Emorystar had been promoted to deputy and then shortly after a leader where he resides today. Of course, with every bone in his body he disagrees with such an honorable position in this clan but others disagreed with his disagreement. And so, he walks as leader of Windclan promising to help the clan escape the threat of extinction and rise once again. Something that every leader before him as failed at doing, all of which dieing to make this dream a reality. Was this his fate too? Would he die trying to raise Windclan away from this threat and just be written down as just another failed leader? There wasn't a way to answer these except for after his death, but he'd do his best to contribute everything to his clan.
Crystal blue gaze swept over to Thunderclan's border as he passed this part of Windclan's terrain. Eyes narrowing to look as far as possible into the densely wooded lands before him, though his extra effort wasted again. Even Thunderclan, thought to be the mightest clan in the entire forest was silent. White and gray pelt shone again as the leader turned away from the enemy clan's borders. Commencing the same slow pace he used everyday whilst patrolling his lands. Gaze catching every movement possible as the patrol continued, hopelessly searching for any signs of life in any clan. Prey had been plentyfull in Windclan, yet the leader ignored any sign of prey as he continued this patrol....if he were to catch any more prey it would go to waste without warriors to eat it.
