Though little life can be found in this forest of dead trees, a few birds seem to have gathered there this morning. But they are quickly scared away as a ball of tumbling ginger fur streaks clumsily through the forest. The BloodClan kitten known as Tsunami doesn't waste time perfecting his graceful entrance. There is too much to do and see, and at the moment he couldn't care less about making "too much noise". In his world, there is no such thing!
Tsunami is the eldest of his siblings, and his adventurous spirit has always caused a bit of good-natured trouble. Today is no exception. When boredom befell the little ginger tom in camp, he wasted no time sneaking away from the camp. Perhaps no one would notice. He has six other siblings after all, and they barely stop moving long enough for anyone to count them.
Such reckless behavior can only lead to trouble. Poor young Tsunami is mostly ignorant to the dangers that this forest holds. A moth streaks past his nose, and he snaps at it in vain as the creature quickly escapes. Determined not to give up, Tsunami runs after it. His eyes lock on his 'prey'. "Almost...gotcha..." He growls, excitement pulsing through him as his tiny legs carry him after the insect.
Suddenly, the moth dissappears from sight. Tsunami's eyes widen in surprise and confusion. He has come to the borders of the forest, and the land is quickly sloping into a steep gorge! A tiny cry escapes the kit's mouth as he skids to a hault. Too late, it seems. The rocks begin to collapse beneath his paws, and he struggles to find a hold on firm land, but all the while, he is slipping...

OOC//Have no fear, super-kitty is here! xP. By the way, love the title ^^
.One night.[And].One more time. The dark, shadowed form of a feline crept silently through the shadows of the forest. She was allegedly hunting, although so far the BloodClan deputy hadn't managed to catch so much as a mouse. As was apparent from her gaze, she was quite distracted at the moment, and barely aware of her surroundings. Juliet had slipped into a dark state of thought that could not-so-simply be classified as reminiscence. She found herself retreating to her memories more and more often now--perhaps it was what kept her sane in this dark place.
Presently, she paused, pressing her shoulder against the deadened bark of a nearby tree as if leaning on it for support. Her dark ears swiveled and lay flat against her head, her dark blue eyes closing briefly. Perhaps she'd just stay here for the rest of the night...hidden. But, of course, Juliet knew this wasn't possible. She had her duties to attend to as Clan deputy. A soft sigh escaped her at the thought. She was she, of all cats, chosen for the Clan's deputy? She felt no particular loyalty toward BloodClan, and had done nothing to prove herself. And yet...
Well, maybe it's the tiny fact that you're one of the only adult BloodClan cats in existence at the moment. A voice in her head prompted her. Juliet's eyes fluttered open again. Perhaps this was the case. She'd believe it was, it made everything in the complex whirlwind that was her life a bit more...simple.
Another moment, and the icy silence that hung over the dark tabby was broken. A loud crunch of twigs and a familiar giggle echoed through the forest, a sound that made Juliet whip around only just in time to see a ginger kit bound past a few fox-lengths away. Juliet's eyes widened for a moment, surprise and confusion freezing her paws in place for a few seconds before it sunk in. Undoubtedly, one of those obnoxious kits had been foolish enough to leave the safety(if you could call it that) of the BloodClan camp. The deputy tensed, her eyes narrowing, before springing after him. Who knew what sort of trouble the kit would get himself into out here.
Just what I need. A kit to babysit, on top of everything else. This bitter thought entered her mind as she raced after him. The kit had gotten a fair head start, but his tiny legs weren't getting him very far very fast. Soon, the little ginger tom was in sight once again. A frustrated growl rose in Juliet's throat, only to be cut off by the sight of the scene before her.The mouse-brain was heading straight for the gorge! Her jaw dropped slightly, speechless and frozen to the spot as she watched the kit try to skid to a halt to no avail. He wasn't going to stop in time!
Without thinking. Juliet lunged foreword, charging toward the cliff and nearly sending herself over as well. Fortunately, she was able to grip the hardened ground with her claws, grabbing the kit by the scruff of his neck just as the rocks beneath his feet gave. Hauling him back onto steady ground, Juliet dropped the kit, panting slightly as the shock of the situation slowly began to ebb away. Once she got herself thinking clearly again, she snapped her gaze to fix on the kit who was now at her paws. She recognized him as Tsunami, the oldest of the little ankle-biters and a trouble-maker to say the least. Her blue eyes hardened into the icy glare that she had perfected over years of staying in BloodClan. For a moment, she was too angry to speak. Then, finally:
"What the hell did you think you were doing?!" She snarled at last. At the moment, Juliet couldn't care less if she frightened the kit. .Thanks for the memories..Even if they weren't so great.

OOC: Lol yeah, figured you would seeing as it's from Wicked XD.
IC: Tsunami's last terrified, fleeting thoughts as he tumbled off the ledge can barely be desiphered. The kit is in too stunned a state. But just as he goes over the ridge, a sharp pain pierces his scruffy back, and he is pulled quickly back over the edge. Amazed, he hangs limply in his rescuers mouth until she puts him down. His paws tremble beneath him, the kit is obviously stunned by his near run-in with death. For a moment, there is silence. Tsunami takes this time to gaze warily up at the she-cat who had just saved his life. He meets the familiar tabby pelt and icy blue gaze of BloodClan's deputy, Juliet. And she doesn't look happy.
Tsunami gulps, and takes a step back, still trembling slightly as she hisses at him. For a moment, he just stands there, unsure of what to do or say under her expectant gaze. "..I...I..." He splutters, his eyes shifting nervously. It's exactly then that the spunky young kit seems to overcome both his shock and his fear. His eyes widen as what just happened sinks in, and his gaze shoots up to meet Juliet's again.
"That...was...SO COOL!" The ginger kit squeals, attempting to rear up on his hind legs to become face-to-face with the deputy. When this is unsuccessful, he jumps down again, positively bounces in place. "I was following this moth...and then the cliff...and the rocks BROKE APART!! And I was like 'whoa!' And you were like, awesome! It was kind of like flying, don't you think?" He asks, grinning up at Juliet innocently.

"...I...I..."
Juliet continued to glare furiously at the kitten. She raised an eyebrow as he stammered over words, waiting coldly for him to continue. She was fuming; angry, thoroughly annoyed, and a bit frightened if truth be told. Get a grip, She told herself silently. You're hysterical. You're acting like a mother scolding her kit. Shaking these thoughts away, she sighed, and surveyed Tsunami coldly. Her eyes were still narrowed, however, if possible, her expression seemed to have softened slightly. He was only a kit, after all. He didn't know any better.
Didn't know any better than charging off a cliff? Her thoughts persisted skeptically. Well, alright. Perhaps he knew better, but he hadn't meant anything by it. Juliet subdued a growl. Now she was going soft. Digging her claws into the hard ground, she continued to stare at Tsunami, though not as harshly. He looked almost pathetic, trembling slightly, and she knew she shouldn't have yelled at him when he had just suffered the trauma of almost losing his life. Begrudgingly, Juliet opened her mouth to attempt to gruffly comfort the kitten. But before she could, Tsunami's expression changed so dramatically that it were almost as if he were animated.
And then...he began to talk. Obnoxiously. Juliet stiffened in surprise. Her eyes, now a lighter, misty shade of blue because of the reflecting morning sunlight, widened momentarily. What in the world...? Had this all been an adventure to him? A game? Juliet's dark tabby fur bristled dangerously, her gaze hardening once again. Tsunami was grinning, but she failed to see the humor in the situation.
"You mouse-brain!" She growled softly. "You could have been killed! Don't you understand that?" The snarling edge of her voice was gone, replaced by the softer, deadly cold tone her words usually carried when she became angry.

Tsunami blinks, realizing that Juliet is still furious with him. He sighs and lowers his tail, wincing at the words 'mouse-brain'. He averts his gaze from hers, his little ginger paw scruffing the ground and kicking up tiny clouds of dust as he figets. "Well, yes..." He mumbles, looking dejected for once. "But...you saved me! And I..."
Tsunami turns back to glance over the cliff's edge, his eyes narrowed. He stares for awhile, as if searching for something or perhaps lost in thought if a kit could be. Slowly, he turns back to the deputy, head lowered, a scowl in place. "Well, it's gone now. But it was there, it really was!" He mews indignantly, then realizes that Juliet probably has no idea what he is talking about. He blinks.
"I'm sorry! I really am. But it's just so boring at camp, and no one pays any attention to me or my brothers and sisters, and I just thought I'd go out and explore before anyone noticed." Tsunami blurts out an explanation suddenly, as if he has been holding this opinion in for a long time. "And then I saw this moth--like I said, it's gone now, and I just wanted to practice hunting, I didn't think it would hurt anyone...and then before I knew it, there was this cliff and...and..."
Tsunami trembles again now. He finally gathers the courage to look up and meet the deputy's gaze, trying to look as brave as he possibley can. "I really didn't mean to get into trouble! Honest! But you don't know what it's like, sitting around all day doing NOTHING! I bet you had parents, didn't you? Well I don't..." His rant suddenly softens. "I don't have parents. And Frost is dead, and Mikkikko is never around, and you and Violet are always too busy leading the Clan to even spare us a glance!"
He doesn't know where this sudden bout of courage came from to speak to the deputy like this, but now that it has been said, Tsunami looks up at Juliet fiercely, though he half-expects her to claw his ears off.

"Well, it's gone now. But it was there, it really was!"
Tsunami had insisted. Juliet blinked several times, confused by this. What in the world was the kit getting at now? Hallucinating, no doubt. She glared at him skeptically, eyes switching to the cliff-side warily, as if she half-expected to see some sort of creature out of Tsunami's imagination scramble up the cliff. But the gorge was completely silent, almost eerily so. She sighed, barely containing her exasperation, and looked down at the kitten again.
"There's nothing--"
She started to explain with rigid patience that the 'thing' Tsunami spoke of didn't appear to exist, when he suddenly decided to explain himself. Her eyes widened slightly. What had brought on this sudden, dramatic rant? Juliet frowned slightly, opening her mouth to say something. However, Tsunami was apparently far from finished. He went on to explain about the moth(so that was what it had been) and how he had nearly chased it over the edge of the cliff. That was just typical...only a kit would be distracted by something as trivial as a moth. Besides, couldn't he have found one of those in camp? With some difficulty, the deputy refrained from rolling her eyes. She didn't have time for this right now. Somehow, Tsunami was only managing to confuse her.
"Well,--"
But for the third time, she was cut off. Beginning to feel frustrated, Juliet narrowed her eyes once again. Tsunami seemed to be feeling particularly dramatic today, and she was definitely not the best cat to deal with it. Couldn't he just...go vent to his siblings? Wasn't that what siblings were for? Well, it's what they're supposed to be for. She thought bitterly, reflecting that she hadn't seen her own sister since she had been recruited into BloodClan. She knew that Tsunami and his siblings had been orphaned early on in their short lives, but at least they had each other. They seemed to take that for granted, and Juliet wouldn't have minded pointing out and life wasn't fair. It was the cruel, hard truth. And although she was becoming increasingly impatient, she looked down at the ginger kit and couldn't bring herself to snap at him again.
Then again, Juliet wasn't exactly an expert at comforting anyone, let alone a kit. She stood rather awkwardly, unsure of what to do or say. Part of her admired Tsunami's courage, although hell if she'd admit it. With a sigh, she allowed her expression to soften slightly, and sheathed her claws.
"Look--I'm sorry about you're parents. But there's nothing we can do. You have to be brave...for you're siblings. They need you. And I know you can be brave."
The last note of her statement had become almost gentle, which had surprised Juliet herself. Still, she let it go without adding any sharper comments to redeem the moment of softness for the little kit.
