Rimestar is an unusual looking cat, and also a well-named one. He gets his name from his appearance, because his pelt resembles the frosty rime that chills the grass each leaf-bare morning. Rimestar is a short-haired cat. His fur is a very pale silver color. He is also marked with darker gray splotches that sort of fade into his fur. Overall, he has an icy sheen to his pelt, and this gives him an almost luminous appearance when he stands in the moonlight. Rimestar's pelt looks soft but is actually sort of coarse to the touch. His fur gets a little bit longer on his tail, which is marked with dark almost-black rings.
Rimestar's eyes are interesting. They tend to flicker and shimmer, like pools that have been disrupted by a thrown pebble. This effect is probably because of their color: a particular shade of blue-green.
He isn't an extremely young cat. Though he isn't old, he is not without his scars. One blazes across his right shoulder, and another can be found just under his left eye.
Personality:
Rimestar seems to have two seperate personalities, depending on who he's faced with. The only thing that he cares for in the world is his Clan. True, he is a bit distant when speaking with most of his clan-mates. He doesn't really open up that easily. But he is polite, and talkative. Even if he does hide his emotions most of the time. Rimestar is an optimisitic cat. He is very encouraging toward his clan-mates. He is inspiring in times when ThunderClan is in need, and encouraging towards the Clan's apprentices. He likes being around younger cats, because he finds them amusing. He also finds their innocence refreshing. So even at times when Rimestar doesn't have an apprentice of his own, he likes to watch training sessions.
Rimestar is a caring leader. He'd never leave one of his Clan-mates behind, and he is always willing to listen to their problems. It's plain to any cat that ThunderClan is his world, and he would give his life for them. But if you had to choose the leader in the forest with the most common sense, Rimestar definately would not be your first pick. He is not at all patient, and he has a very fierce temper that is easily roused. The one emotion he never fails to hide is his anger. Which leads me to the second 'half' of his personality.
He doesn't like other Clans. Not one bit. And he isn't shy about showing it, even at Gatherings. He doesn't trust them further than he could throw them. Also, he rarely cares about their needs, if ever. He is always firm about putting ThunderClan first, even if another Clan is in a dire situation. Toward them, he is very snappy and hot-headed. He is one to leap into battle without a second thought if his temper is roused. Also, he is very proud. He'll rarely admit to needing anyone's help, even if it's clear that he does.

Rimestar was born in ThunderClan, although he does have some rogue blood in him. His father was a rogue, before he met Rimestar's mother, Sandstripe, and decided to join ThunderClan out of admiration for Sandstripe's loyalty and devotion to her Clan. He took on the warrior name Graytail. Many cats distrusted him over his heritage, but Graytail and Sandstripe soon fell in love.
Rimestar...well, Rimekit then, was of their first litter. His siblings included Shadekit and Leafkit(who was found to be deaf soon after she was born). Rimekit lived a happy life in the nursery, though not a particularly exciting one. Within six moons, he and Shadekit were ready to be made apprentices. The clan leader at the time denied Leafkit the opportunity, because she was deaf. Sandstripe and Graytail were furious, though Leafkit didn't really understand it.
He was given his apprentice name, Rimepaw, and his mentor was a she-cat named Darkshadow. They agreed with Shadepaw and his mentor to go out training together. But Leafkit decided to follow them, because she didn't understand where they were going. By the time the wind had shifted and they caught her scent on the breeze, she had been confronted by a lone fox. The patrol drove the fox off, but it had been too late for Leafkit.
It had a major effect on the family. Sandstripe became more withdrawn, and Graytail more protective of her. As a result, though, Rimepaw and Shadepaw grew very close in their grieving.
Rimepaw grew fast, and so did his skills. His warrior name was Rimeheart. Shadepaw's was Shadefoot. As a warrior, Rimeheart proved himself to the Clan time and time again, though he was very competitive. As the moons past, the Clan deputy joined StarClan, and Rimeheart was chosen in their place. Then, when Nightstar died as well, he was made leader.
