Shadewhisker is a strong looking tom. His fur has a healthy glow, and it is around medium length. He has a pelt black as night, except for a few spots. On his chest is a white splotch of fur that stands out plainlky against the rest of his pelt. His paws are also white colored, except for his left forepaw, which remains black. Shadewhisker looks as if he's walked through a puddle of white paint.
He is named for his unusually long whiskers, which are dark colored. They give him a very friendly expression. Shadewhisker's eyes are round and luminous. Especially at night, they seem to glow. This effect is probably created by the background of his black fur. His fur gets a little darker around his eyes, like a raccoon mask, but you can barely see it. Shadewhisker's eyes are a mix of yellow and light green.
His claws are unusually long, and his paws are big because of it.
Personality: His black pelt and long claws can make him seem menacing. But really, Shadewhisker is an easy-going, gentle cat. He is very sensible and smart. While he sticks to the warrior code, he is able to realize when breaking it might be the right thing sometimes. He is very open-minded and understanding, which makes him a good listener. He's willing to hear anyone out.
Shadewhisker is very loyal, both to his Clan and to the cats he cares about. He's willing to go to any lengths to prove his loyalty and be the best warrior he can be. He is very courageous, but he isn't reckless. He knows that there is a time and place for bravery, but he doesn't care very much for his own personal safety. He'd risk his life any time for another cat, especially for one of his Clan-mates. He is also this way emotionally. He's willing to do what makes others happy, despite how he may feel about it himself.
Shadewhisker is calm and patient. He is not judgemental, and it is very hard to make him angry. When his Clan-mates get angry or there is a battle about to break out, Shadewhisker is the voice of reason. He avoids unnessecary violence if he can.

History: Shadewhisker was born in ThunderClan, but his father was a rogue. His mother, whose name was Swiftfoot, fell for his father's charms as soon as she met him. His name was Jamie, and although he had never done anything to seriously harm any of the Clans, he was still a rogue. He didn't like that Swiftfoot's loyalties tied her to ThunderClan, so he asked her to leave the Clan and run away with him. Swiftfoot couldn't even think of leaving ThunderClan, and refused. Jamie left, never to be seen again.
What Swiftfoot didn't know at the time, was that she was carrying his kits. When she eventually did find out, no one really asked questions. They just assumed that a ThunderClan tom was the father. Swiftfoot ended up having two kits: Shadekit and Cedarkit. They were both toms. Shadewhisker would have grown up with a brother, but Cedarkit died shortly after he was born.
When Shadewhisker was an apprentice, he was mentored by a warrior named Silverstorm. Silverstorm was blind in one eye after a fight with a fox. Many cats, including Shadewhisker at first, underestimated him because of it. He thought that he would never learn anything from a mentor who was handicapped. But Silverstorm was wise and had his own fighting techniques, while still being able to teach Shadewhisker what he needed to know. Silverstorm was a father figure in his life, since Shadewhisker never knew his own dad. Silverstorm taught him a very important lesson: not to judge others by their appearances, and never to underestimate anyone. Shadewhisker still remembers those things now.
When he was a warrior, and was finally less focused on his training, he began to notice Pearlfang. She was one of his Clan-mates, and before he knew it he had fallen for her. This is the cat who is his mate today.
