Name: Smokepaw
Age: 8 moons.
Gender:Tom
Clan: ThunderClan
Position:Apprentice
Description: Smokepaw looks a bit scruffy, but is altogether quite handsome in his own way. His fur is about medium in length, although its closer to long than short, and can grow to be quite thick in Leaf-Bare. You will find that Smokepaw is well-named upon meeting him, for his pelt color is his namesake. Most of his pelt is dark grey in color, with slightly darker stripes that are just barely visable. Smokepaw is like a shadow, like a spot of shade in the sunlight, like the quiet smoke from the burning fire(although his personality would state quite the opposite). The fur ranges to a lighter silver stripe down his neck and towards his under-belly, but other than that, he is a very dark-coated tom.
Smokepaw's eyes are rather strange, for they vary in shades depending on the lighting, among other things. They are an odd shade of green, and are usually a misty light one with an almost gray tint. However, there are times when they seem light and mint-colored, and others when they are almost emerald. Whatever their hue, this tom has quite the spark in his gaze that is never extinguished. It seems to grow into a flame with happiness and defiance, with excitement and anger. These are just a preview of the fiesty cat within, however.
Smokepaw has a practiced, roguish smile, one that'll be sure to get a care-worn warriors suspicions up even if the young apprentice isn't really up to something.
His tail is long and fluffy, almost fox-like if it weren't for its color. Smokepaw is built lithe and strong, his muscles rippling under his ashen coat.

Personality: Smokepaw is...well, he's quite a character! And whether I mean that in a good or a bad way...well, thats for each individual to decide. If you're gonna hang around him, though, you'll have to learn to put up with his sarcasm. Smokepaw practically speaks it as a second language, and is quite frank. He doesn't really care if his words hurt. Smokepaw believes that if you're afraid to speak your mind, then no one will ever know who you truly are. His scoffing, spiteful tone isn't subject to much change. While Smokepaw respects warriors, he hates being ordered around, and has a bit of a control problem with the warrior code. He is sharp and slightly selfish, in the naive apprentice sort of way. Smokepaw tends to be resentful and cold, and some might believe that he doesn't have feelings at times. This isn't so, but if others believe it, that's fine by him. A large portion of his sharp-tongued, cheeky attitude is that Smokepaw hates letting others in, and would do just about anything to hide it. His pride means a lot to him, and it is difficult for him to appologize or admit his wrongs.
Still, once you get to know him, Smokepaw isn't all that bad. He's very witty, and his jokes have a broad sense of humor to them. Most of them, anyway. When they aren't too cruel, Smokepaw usually doesn't have trouble cracking a smile with his words. And underneath it all, really, he does have a conscience. He is loyal and he does feel hurt, and he really does have a sense of compassion. He's just too proud to show it.
Crush: Soon, not yet. Not like he'd ever admit it anyway.
History: Smokepaw was born to Cassie, a pretty silver loner. His father was a ThunderClan tom named Scorchedpelt. At first, the two cats resented each other rather fiercely, but time came to soften them and even form a bond between the two. Soon, they had fallen in love, and Cassie had joined her mate in ThunderClan. At first, there were several warriors that had a problem with the ex-loner, and didn't trust her much if at all. But Cassie was stubborn to prove her loyalty to ThunderClan, no matter how long it would take. And soon, after a few moons of her steady loyalty and Scorchedpelt's constant support, Cassie became a well-known and accepted member of the Clan, and a noble warrior. She took the name Mistywing.
Over time, the two mates matured and adjusted to their new life together, and soon, a proud Mistywing announced her pregnancy. It was a joyous day for the Clan, who had lost many a cat that Leaf-bare. It was a dark time for ThunderClan, and new members were openly welcomed.
All of the Clan, Scorchedpelt and Mistywing in particular, eagerly awaited the kits' birth, and within a few moons, it had happened. One day, when the sun was high in the sky, Mistywing collapsed. Her kits had been over-due, and the queen had begun to fret. Luckily, someone found her, and the medicine cat was rushed on scene with Scorchedpelt anxiously awaiting outside the den. But disaster would strike that day.
All of the kits, except for one, who had been the eldest and probably the strongest, had died. One had been still-born, while another had died soon after its birth for unknown reasons. The family was devistated, but they vowed to protect the remaining kit with their own lives. They named him Smokekit, and as he grew, he showed promise. All day, he's play with tireless energy around the camp, dreaming of the day when he'd become an apprentice. Then, he could train for real.
And eventually, of course, this very thing did happen. And so Smokepaw came to be.
