Well, the plot isn't offically 'started' yet, but I'm sick, alone, and dying of boredom. Soo here's my bio!
NAME;; Brighteyes
AGE;; 22 moons
GENDER;; Tom
CLAN;; RiverClan
POSITION;; Warrior
DESCRIPTION;; It would be hard to tell what kind of cat, exactly, Brighteyes is. Partly Maine Coon, perhaps a bit of tabby. But judging from his appearance and his especial love of water, even for a RiverClanner, he definately has some Turkish Angora in his bloodlines. Yes, Brighteyes is a mixed breed cat, but then, in a forest of wildcats, it'd be rather hard to find a pure bred cat anywhere.
He is a long-legged cat, and so very swift. Though young, his lifetime spent serving the clan has resulted in toned, well-muscled legs as well, and a slim body that is charactaristic in RiverClan cats. Brighteyes' paws are a bit large, sort of like a puppy's, though he is neither canine nor infant-aged. Still, this built helps him to be an especially good swimmer, which is perhaps why he loves the water so much.
I suppose you could describe his fur as black in color, though in truth it is much more. It's a bit like a dark, subtle shadow, a mix of all shades of black imaginable. The gloss of a raven's feather, the mistiness of a starless night sky, shades from purpelish to smokey. His fur is fairly long, but not extremely so like a Persian's would be. It is sleek and shining, portraying his heritage, and grows especially long on the tail.
Brighteyes was certainly named well, for his eyes are a bright orange that stand out especially against his fur.
PERSONALITY;; Once upon a time, Brighteyes was a lively young apprentice. He was smart and brave, and very eager to become a warrior. He was the definition of 'energetic', and seemed to always be getting himself into some sort of trouble. He had many friends, and was talkative and bold. Brighteyes held promise to be a great young warrior.
But after his sister died, his whole personality changed. Brighteyes became very reserved, distant from his clan-mates. He barely spoke a word to anyone, merely a silent shadow that stalked about doing his warrior duties that he'd once so eagerly dreamed of. Still, he also became very observative. Brighteyes is very good at 'reading' others, and doesn't seem to miss a thing. His own emotions, however, are carefully veiled behind a mask-like barrier. Brighteyes rarely trusts anyone, even his own clan-mates, and has become a somewhat mysterious figure in RiverClan society.
There is something almost sad about his cold orange gaze, but he'd accept no pity. Despite everything else, Brighteyes is very stubborn and proud, and he hates pity or sympathy of any kind. The tom is extremely independant, and even prefers to do activities like hunting and patrolling alone. This stubborn sort of trait is one he's always had, though, even before his sister's death. He is somewhat sharp-tongued, a tactic used to push others away, and is very clever and sarcastic if he chooses to speak.
Brighteyes is somewhat serious, and is still very determined to be a good warrior. He is very loyal to RiverClan, and would die for his clan-mates, however detached he may seem at times.
Once Brighteyes opens up, though, he is a very loyal and true friend with a good heart, it's just that his personality is a bit rough around the edges. But yes, he does have a sort of roguish charm when he chooses to show it. You'd never know all of this, though, because he rarely opens up enough for anyone to even guess it. The only one who's really close to him now is, ironically, a ThunderClan cat.
CRUSH;; None yet really, but soon to be Hazelstripe and maybe Blackberry.
HISTORY;; Brighteyes was born in RiverClan, and is a full-blooded RiverClan cat. His time of birth was unusual, in mid-winter, which made things very hard on his family. His brother, Bearkit, died very early of greencough. That left only Brightkit, his sister Juniperkit, and his mother, Snowleaf. His father had died before the kits were born, killed accidentally in a border fight with ThunderClan over Sunningrocks.
His whole kithood, he became fiercely protective of his sister, who'd been the runt of the litter. The bond between the two grew very close. They'd play games, get into trouble, and listen to their mother's stories. Snowleaf would often tell tales of their father, and so as Brightkit grew into apprenticeship, he grew something of a grudge against ThunderClan. Being a somewhat bold apprentice, Brightpaw ventured foolishly into ThunderClan territory. I suppose it was somewhat lucky that he ran into an apprentice instead of a full-grown warrior, but Brightpaw soon found himself fighting with a young she-cat called Hazelpaw. But both apprentices were rather accident-prone, and so before long Hazelpaw had fallen into the river. Brightpaw, despite his anger, jumped in after her in a rescue attempt. The thing is, he hadn't exactly had his swimming training yet, and so both of them ended up crashing downriver, and eventually helped each other out of the river. There were some things you couldn't share without becoming friends afterward, and this was one of them.(Hehe, HP quote)
Though Brightpaw was friends with many of the RiverClan apprentices, his closest friends became Hazelpaw, a RiverClan apprentice named Blackpaw, and of course, his sister.
After long moons of hard work and ambition, it was finally time for Brightpaw's warrior ceremoney. As fate had it, though, that day when they went on their last patrol and assessment before the ceremony, disaster struck. Brightpaw and Juniperpaw had been arguing about something silly, who would get their warrior ceremony first. Their mentors laughed and argued mildly that the ceremonies would only be a few minutes apart. But however close they were, the two siblings had always been extremely competitive. And so they became determined to prove themselves better than the other. It started out with a race, and the two apprentices soon left their mentors behind. When the race tied, they came to the river, and found themselves nearly crashing into a large black watersnake.
"Juniperpaw, maybe we should go back."Brightpaw had said nervously. Juniperpaw's eyes fixed on the snake mischeviously.
"What, don't tell me you're scared!" She laughed gently.
"Scared? Of some ol' oversized worm? Naw."
Juniperpaw nudged him. "Okay, then. Catch it."
"What?"
"Any TRUE warrior can catch a watersnake! That is, unless you really are scared!" She teased.
Brightpaw's eyes narrowed. Detemined to show her that he wasn't scared in the least(a lie), he leaped forward into the water, splashing loudly. Unfortunately, the snake did not appriciate being pounced on, and whipped around to attack the apprentice. Before Brightpaw could move, Juniperpaw had leaped in front of him, and took the snake's bite.
Soon after this incident, their mentors had arrived to chase the snake off, but it was too late. The venom was sinking in, and Juniperpaw was dead. Brightpaw insisted that the leader of the clan preform the ceremony that gave a dying apprentice her warrior name, so that Juniperpaw would have her ceremony first after all. And so his sister joined StarClan as Juniperstreak.
Brightpaw had his warrior ceremony soon after, but it hardly seemed to matter to him any more. He was haunted by his sister's death, feeling extremely guilty, and soon drew away from everyone except for Hazelpaw.
