So yeah, I don't need any more characters, so I'm going to have to kill one of my old ones off very soon. But anyway, this is for Torneh--
Name:
Neyla (NEE-la)
Age:
Twenty-eight moons.
Gender:
She-cat
Clan:
Rogue/'FireClan'(rogue band)
Position:
Leader
Description:
Neyla is the dark image of her father, a mere shadow of warning. Of course, she hasn't suffered the pain of being caught in a blazing forest fire and then experimented on by two-legs, so she lacks Clockwerk's symbolic half-metal face. Still, they share the same pelt color, and the same formiddable yellow star. And yet, in the years that have past since Clockwerk stalked the forest, there may be quite a few--except for Nightshade and Goldenstar's kin, perhaps, that have forgotten the exact details of the dark rogue's appearance. So for now, Neyla may be able to feign her innocence.
Her pelt is light and feathery, and always well-kept since she detests untidiness. It is jet black in color, darker than the shadows that creep through the land at twilight. Even her whiskers and nose are dark colored. She isn't a solid-colored cat, however--her pelt is peppered with a few white markings throughout her fur. These can be seen particularly on the tip of her left fore-paw, and on her chest and neck.
Neyla is a small, short cat, but is very lean and a bit coarse looking in appearance. She has a full-on 'alley-cat' look going on; one that a BloodClan cat from long ago might have had once, when they lived near the two-leg houses. She is very quick, and quick-tongued as well--her voice is smooth and soft sounding, most of the time.

Personality:
Neyla's personality is a peculiar, complex tangle that's nearly impossible to figure out. She isn't exactly evil in the sense that she goes around murdering and torturing and wreaking havoc for her own pleasure...but she is quite dangerous. She is very independant and knows what she wants: she doesn't murder for 'fun', but she isn't afraid to if someone stands in her way, either. I suppose you could say that she is without bloodlust, but also without most morals. She isn't one to let guilt catch up with her.
Perhaps 'conceited' is a good word to describe her, because she has her own agenda. She believes that it's a harsh world, and every cat is for her or his own self. She cares only for herself and perhaps the other members of her 'Clan', and gives very little thought for others. Neyla is quite the trickster, and her mischeviousness doesn't mean well for those she chooses to use for her own selfish purposes--and there are quite a few of those. For her, betrayal is a common sin that comes as naturally as breathing. So, if she thinks you're of no use to her, don't expect her to stand by you for very long.
She isn't exactly power-hungry, which is one major difference between her and her father. She regards the Clan cats with a level of distinct disgust, and has no urge to rule over them. No, she is content with ruling FireClan as far as power goes, but she also won't spare the warrior code a second thought. There is one, and only one, main focus in Neyla's life, and that is revenge. She believes that the death of her father would never have happened if it hadn't been for her aunt and uncle; Goldenstar and Nightshade. Though they, too, lie dead now, she vows to rid the forest of those who share her bloodlines...which have spread through nearly all of the Clans now. And she will not tolerate those who try to stop her.
Though it's true that Neyla's presence usually only means trouble for those around her, and that the cunning gears in her head never stop whirring, her outter personality is a bit surprising. She is more than a bit insane when it comes to the thoughts of her revenge, yes, and her morals are twisted beyond repair, but otherwise she is a bold but somewhat friendly she-cat. She is of sharp tongue and of stubborn mind, and never truly lets herself get attached to anyone, but she does enjoy socializing, and knows that she needs to come off as likable to gain others' trust. As a result, she is witty, talkative, and at times, quite flirtatious.
Crush:
Nope.
History:
Over two years ago, the FireClan leader known as Clockwerk left the forest forever, perhaps departing to a place darker than StarClan. As his age grew, so did his bloodlust and insanity, until he comitted his final crime: launching an attack at Fourtrees on the night of a Gathering. It had been early, and the full moon had yet to rise in the sky, and only ThunderClan and ShadowClan had been present. Clockwerk had ordered FireClan to attack, and made yet another attempt on his brother, Nightshade's, life. They fought furiously, and Clockwerk managed to blind his kin with a flash of his metal claws, before Goldenstar distracted him with an attack of her own. The ShadowClan leader had been on her last life, and although she had fought hard, Clockwerk had managed to pin her. Just as he was about to aim a death blow, something very strange stopped him. Perhaps it was a flash of memory from the past; from the days when he had been the ThunderClan warrior Adderfang. Though he'd always been rivals with Nightshade, he'd held a certain soft spot for his sister, and perhaps a phantom feeling of this had come back to him at the last moment. Whatever it was, it was foreign to Clockwerk, and as he hesitated, another ShadowClan warrior knocked him away from the leader and killed him. The Gathering would be cancelled that night, and Goldenstar died shortly after because of the wounds her brother had inflicted.
The story had been passed down to Neyla from her mother, a FireClan she-cat. In fact, she heard the story many times, and as she grew older, it angered her. By apprentice age, Neyla had decided something firmly: if it hadn't been for Nightshade and Goldenstar, Clockwerk would still be alive. And seeing as her father's last act had been an attempt on both of their lives, Neyla decided that it would only be right to continue his personal quest. The only thing she never really came to understand was why Clockwerk had hesitated in the last moments of the story, but as she has never experienced anything like it, she never pondered it.
And so Neyla took up training to become a FireClan warrior, and as Clockwerk's kin, demanded a right to the leadership of the rogue band. After the battle resulting in her father's death, the new leader had moved the rogues to two-leg territory because they had been weak, and unable to withstand any potential attempts at revenge from the Clans. So for most of Neyla's life, her Clan had been in hiding, but when she challenged the leader and won, she made a decision: she was going to move them back into the Old Manor, their rightful home. And so take up her quest of vengeance.
