Description: True to her name, Nightheart is an inky black female with not a speck of a lighter hue upon her. It is true that her pelt is quite glossy, however, and displays different shades of black depending on the lighting. From rich ebony, to shining raven's feather, to an almost purpleish moonlight-induced glow. Her fur is long and very soft, and it's one of the features she takes the most pride in. Therefore, Nightheart keeps her coat very well-groomed, and tends to be reluctant to spend too much time in the marshes because of this.

As for the rest of ShadowClan's territory, she fits in there quite well. Because of the she-cat's fur, she truly blends in well with the shadowy tendencies of ShadowClan's land, making her an excellent hunter even by her Clan's standards. It wouldn't take much to guess which Clan Nightheart belonged to, even just by looking at her. She is, however, considered a beautiful she-cat by most tom's standards, though the look in her eyes can often be somewhat intimidating.

You see, her eyes are missing certain spark to them. It's rare for them to display any real emotion other than cool, guarded seriousness. It makes the she-cat look almost cruel, though in reality she isn't. But otherwise, her eyes are just as beautiful as the rest of her. Wide and shining, they are a light mint-green that seem almost misty and luminous against her dark pelt.

Nightheart is a fairly small cat in build, unlike what is typical for a ShadowClan cat. She almost looks underfed, but once again this is her rather defeated demeanor shining through into her appearance. She is quick, however, once again adding on to her prowess as a hunter. Nightheart's other features include small, delicate paws, unusually long whiskers, and a feathery tail.


Personality: Nightheart is unique, and you can't really sum her up in only a few words. She is sarcastic and rather dismissive, and if you don't know her out, you might make her out to be sharp-tongued. But she actually isn't--not particularly, anyway. In fact, she is almost constantly polite and easy to get along with, although she is rather brisk. She doesn't really enjoy the company of her Clan-mates much, because she doesn't want to risk getting close to any of them. When she is with them, however, she sometimes lets her mind carry her away, and becomes quite talkitive. She's often voicing the more superficial thoughts of her mind aloud, without really thinking about it. In this way, she can be a bit blunt. But at the same time, Nightheart is careful not to voice the darker and deeper thoughts that haunt her. She's never truly opened up that far to anyone. In a way, her polite, and at times almost sweet exterior are just a device to keep her inner thoughts hidden.

She is easily irritated, though. But at the same time, Nightheart really hates to argue or squabble with her Clan-mates, and she'll often refuse to waste her time doing so. This becomes a bit of a problem, however, because it often results in her hiding her anger for extended amounts of time. And we all know what can happen if you bottle your emotions up for too long. Instead of getting things that bother her off her chest, she tends to hold them in, and therefore is prone to holding grudges.

Nightheart is known for being extremely stubborn. Whenever she believes in something, she believes in it firmly, and she doesn't allow anyone to tell her differently. She's very self-righteous in this way, and a bit hard-headed as well. But one thing she doesn't believe in is love. She honesty thinks it's a stupid waste of time searching for it, because it doesn't even exist. When the subject is mentioned to her, she can't help but scoff. Nightheart wouldn't be caught dead falling in love.

As a cat who doesn't believe in true love, Nightheart is bound to be quite cynical--and she is. She is extremely hard to impress, and she doesn't take a liking to others easily.

History: Nightheart was born, pure-blooded, to ShadowClan.But she was an only child.Her mother died giving birth to her, and Nightheart had a foster queen as a mother.Most cat fathers aren't very close to their kits, and her father was no exception.He had other warrior duties to attend to, and quickly forgot about his kit.And one day, he too was killed on a border fight gone wrong.This, perhaps, is why Nightheart doesn't believe in love, because every time she's tried to love someone, they've left her.
