00C: This is going to suck, but whatever. Mikkikko and Gentleheart bobbed their heads simultamiously, nodding in agreement. "Alright then, it's settled." Mikkikko replied, turning to rest his amber gaze on the ThunderClanner. "Should we search for the kits first, or do you want me to speak to Destinystep." Gentleheart looked a little surprised by the question. She flicked her grey ears to and fro. "Well, umm... I guess... I..." She hesitated, weighing down her options. On one paw, she wanted to start looking for the kits that very second. On the other, she wanted to help Destinystep, so that even if they never found the kits, then at least he would begin to return to his normal self. Hopefully. "I suppose I could bring him here, right now if that's alright. You could talk to him, and then we could go look for the kits." Then another idea popped into her head. "Or while you're talking to him, Massie and I could go searching." she suggested.
Mikkikko nodded, he liked the idea. Killing two birds with one stone. And Mikkikko had a feeling that once they got Destinystep to listen to him, it would be easier on them both if it was just the two of them speaking. "Okay. Go get him. We'll wait right here for you." he replied after a moments thought. Gentleheart nodded with a smile and turned to go. She was a few mouse-lengths away when she looked over her shoulder and said, in a soft and genuine voice, "Thanks." Then bounded away, disappearing into the thicket that she'd first appeared from.

OOC//Naw, you don't suck -Hugs-. Ach. I had to modify this post a billion times for the same freaking reason: my mind has deserted me. Why in Oz do I keep wanting to call Gentleheart, "Gentlestep"? -Smacks self- xP
Massie watched all of this occur without further comment. When Gentleheart suggested that the two she-cats go off searching for the kits while Mikkikko talked to Destinystep, she hesitated a moment. She didn't like the idea of wandering into Clan territory, as the search would probably require, especially without her mate. But it was easier this way. She had to put her dislike of the Clans behind her for now, because those kits needed her. Mikkikko needed her. And so, her leaf-green eyes narrowing slightly, she merely nodded in short, wordless agreement with Gentleheart before shifting her gaze downward. The calico-pelted loner seemed almost lost in the grassy turf below her paws, for she was staring at it with such determination that it might have been impossible to tell whether she was still following the conversation. In fact, it was only vaguely that she had registered Gentleheart's departure. When she had, Massie looked up again, this time to meet her mate's gaze. Her icy, stiff demeanor had softened a bit once the she-cat had left. In fact, Mikkikko was one of the few cats Massie trusted enough to completely relax in front of. But now, she was scrutinizing him keenly, silence enveloping her for a moment before she spoke, rather softly.
"What are you going to say to him?" Massie meowed in mild curiosity, wondering if Mikkikko had given thought to the matter yet. She knew that it would be rather hard for Mikkikko to comfort someone he didn't know very well, especially when it was Destinystep in question. Massie hoped that the tension between the two toms wouldn't be too great, grimacing as she imagined how awkward the search for the kits with Gentleheart would probably be. Yes, you've already established that, there's no good complaining about it! She snapped at herself mentally. Without meaning to, Massie gave a soft, annoyed growl at her own redundant thoughts. Then, realizing that she had done so, the loner gave herself a slight shake and blinked apologetically at the ruddy tom beside her, before awaiting his answer. If there would be an answer, that was. Perhaps it would be easier, though not wiser, to just wing it. If it had been her, Massie knew that that was what she would have done.

IsItWrongToPutAllOurHopesTogetherAndWishForSomethingBetter?
Mikkikko watched Gentleheart disappear into the thicket. When she was gone, he felt Massie's intense eyes boaring into him questioningly. He shifted his gaze to his mate curiously. "What are you going to say to him?" she wondered aloud. To be compleatly honest, the tom hadn't even thought about that. Even if he had, he doubted he would have been able to think of anything good enough. "I don't know." he replied, his eyes narrowing thoughtfully. "I guess I'll just... wing it." He tilted his head slightly. "Or is that a bad idea?" he asked, honestly wanting her opinion. Mikkikko had never had to do something like this. Mikkikko also knew that he was probably the last person Destinystep would want to listen to. Though, somehow, having Massie there filled him with a confidence that he wouldn't have if she wasn't there.
IsItWrongToBelong? OOC// Well, that was short and cheesy.

OOC//-nodnod- I've had both of 'em before. They're pretty cool!
IC// Massie did not break her gaze, but merely blinked thoughtfully as Mikkikko spoke. He seemed a bit unsure, and honestly, who could blame him? She couldn't even imagine what she'd do in a situation like this. Talking, comforting...it really wasn't her thing, and she knew that the same could be said for her mate. Still, despite her own misgivings, she needed to concentrate right now. Mikkikko needed her help right now, however detached she wished to remain to Destinystep and the other clan-cats. But the calico remained silent for a moment, thinking over her answer carefully. 'Winging it', for lack of a better term, would most definitely be unpredictable. But the situation was awkward enough as it was. They didn't even know this Destinystep, or what to expect. Any plans they made now couldn't be guaranteed to work, and so she couldn't think of better advice to give the tom.
"I think," Massie said slowly, but honestly. "That you're right. It would be the best thing to do right now, as we can't say we have much else to go on." Though reassuring and truthful, her words sounded a bit grim, even to her own ears. Massie was tense. In fact, this whole situation was tense, not to mention awkward, and the very air seemed to crackle with it. She nearly winced. But, saying no more, she turned her gaze away from Mikkikko, and with anxious impatience, turned toward the path that Gentleheart had just disappeared down.
OOC//Ew. That sucked. Ah, too bad, I'm museless.
